Interesting statement from the new man which I'll take mostly at face value. The main part for me that looked a bit off is where he states (paraphrased) "the fans should not worry, I want what they want - what's best for the long term future of LFC." Now that, to me, does not fit alongside the aims of the current owners, which is to extract the maximum possible value from their asset. I don't see how he can possibly make both of those aspects come together in a single buyer bar we get really lucky. Obviously it is also a concern who buys us in the end. No guarantees they will go about things much differently is there? Him being a Chelsea fan etc, that's a nothing issue. Tony Barrett presumably doesn't have any inside info on this, so I think he is just speculating there. Not saying he's wrong, but it isn't some kind of 'exclsuive'.
