  1. He came on as a sub for Keita. He's just been rubbish so far. I have no idea why they bought him, they don't need him.
  2. Don't know about breaking up the Roy hating, one of the big reasons he is so unpopular is his refusal to press or play high. I disagree with the analysis about the second goal by the way. It was a good hit, but he should never have had the chance IMO - the clearing header was poor, the closing down slow, and someone (Skrtel?) took their head out of the way.
  3. That's what the man said. It's so blatantly not true that for me it answers the questions about what next for CP.
  4. "Mutual consent", people.
  5. Has to be Kenny. You can't IMO expect the new owners to come in and be able to make that decision straight away, they need time to consult and understand what kind of manager this club needs to take it forward. If they are faced with making an appointment straight away it would surely end up being the same people who made the last choice, and that is turning out to be one of the worst footballing decisions we have ever made.
  6. It defo could happen. First half we looked as bad as ANY side I have seen this season.
  7. f*** me. Watching us all stand in a line along our 18 yard line is grimly fascinating in a 'slow motion car crash' kind of way. Worst. Football. Ever. f***ing embarrassment to be playing like this against a team that don't even want to keep hold of the ball.
  8. He's definitely doing it now, he is the deepest player at Barca half the time I've seen them, Pique especially being happy to station himself in front of Masch when they are in possession. I have no idea what they bought Masch for tbh.
  9. Absolutely right. With them advising on the moves and counter moves according the stuff in b&w from RBS it mostly came down being very careful to fully document the process, presuming that one day they'd be in court about it.
  10. Sacking the best manager of the last 25 years and the manner of doing so, undermining via the press = BIG FAIL Subsequent footballing decisions - RH, even Joe Cole... FAIL Played a role over the last week, but really just a bit part player. Thanks for that. Get rid, no doubt about it.
  11. By all accounts Citeh are gearing up to see if UEFA has the nuts to throw them out or whether there are sufficient grey areas in this to allow a period of bringing finances in order, so the conclusion would be that it active from now

    Agger

He got called up with a 50/50 chance of making it. He didn't make the side vs Portugal, but the Danish docs decided with some injections he could play against Cyprus. Such things are pretty common, of course. He then hobbled off after half an hour or so (yet, while the sub was warming up he still wanted to take a free kick ) My take of Agger is this - he is one of those players that wants to play every game, no matter who it is for. Nothing bad in that particularly, the lad is a winner and a competitor. Of course, in this case it didn't help him, and there is no doubt that with that mentality he will be frustrated that RFH doesn't seem to fancy him. Would not be surprised if that halped with some slightly reckless decision making to play in the Cyprus match. By the by, if he hadn't of played DK would have been 1 up after about 10 minutes, he volleyed over from literally 2 metres out when Kjaer was right behind him waiting to head into an empty net... IMO he is the only quality first team CB at Liverpool. We can't afford to lose him if RH doesn't fancy playing him, or thinks he is a left back, given the lack of other options and need to strengthen there anyway...
  13. You don't say. Still, no reason not to wage an internet hate campaign, eh?
  14. If it was me I wouldn't spend a penny on players until I knew who my long term manager would be and what kind of players they wanted. We've just added a shedload of deadwood over the summer, last thing we need is more of the stuff.
  15. You are right. Christmas is the perfect time for a bit of instability, and we'll probably be missing it by then. Personally I dread a period of calm and look forward to welcoming the seasonal instability to come.
  16. I don't hate him. No shame in just not being good enough. I do want him out at the first opportunity I'm sure he will get a couple of months

    Agger

Slightly self inflicted this one, had numerous injections to be able to even play in a game they were always going to win the numpty

  20. I can't follow it so easily this year unfortunately, since the shake up in league licensing on TV (I'm based in Copenhagen) - I used to watch a Saturday afternoon game the last couple of years. Now I catch the occasional stream, and the highlights show on ARD when I'm free. My impression was that the German sides had got over the obsession with back 3's a while back, e.g. Bayern's CL winning side, Leverkusen under Toppmoller etc. My impression about the German game is * coaching is a profession taken seriously, and it's ok to be a real game-thinker - there are so many UEFA qualified coaches in Germany, and it is much more OK compared to the British game to treat the coaching as an intellectual exercise, and some really talented coaches! Rangnick, Tuchel, Schaaf, I would have said Magath but now he's at Schalke I don't know if I can pay him any compliments * as a result they develop huge numbers of intelligent footballers - like Holland, Denmark, and others - which mean that tactical flexibility is more easily achieved. * good scouting (at Hoffenheim in particular) * less gap between the top and the promoted sides, probably due to financial regs of the Bundesliga * more willingness to play attractive attacking football all round really, just like Blackpool are doing well with this season, and WBA Like I say, I do find it more difficult to follow these day, so it's difficult to really know, but you make a good point, I really like the league and the surprises it throws up. Yeah you are not joking. He hasn't won anything yet, of course, and we probably have to wait until next season to see how he gets on in European football, but he does look a very impressive coach. It probably won't be long until the biger German teams are in for him, but if we ever return to looking for the type of manager that we were after when we appointed Rafa - youger up and coming coach with track record of success without being the largest spender then Tuchel would already be looking near the top of the list. He speaks English too... (I've been trying to find that out since last season!). The main question mark with him would be whether he has the persona for a really big job like LFC.

  22. 3-0 down at HT, Kenny takes over, storm back to win it 4-3?
  23. That's not the question though is it Crazy? The question is do you find it creepy that people still hold them in high regard?
  24. Haha! I have thought the same...
  25. indeed.
