  1. All I am going to say is this: Purslow appointed him, he has to take the blame.
  2. Yep, he's given his position on everything. Christ, Purslow, you muppet. You absolute muppet.
  3. The man totally understands what it is to be Liverpool manager, and I hope we see him back at the helm one day. A genius. Makes me ashamed that anyone with anything to do with our club could think that he was the problem that needed removing. Disgraceful to even think it. Glad he has put the lie to the 'case of mutual consent'.
  4. I don't mind having a sensible discussion about the manager with you, however, positive is going to be almost impossible. We don't have the players for this defend deep, surrender possession and soak up pressure game that he has shown no signs of dropping. He might have got away with it with Sami in his prime. From my perspective we have not tried to play a diamond yet, or a short passing game. We surrender possession and counter quickly.
  5. I can't believe you haven't credited him with his awe inspiring record with Finland and Switzerland. This is the stuff that Liverpool managers are made of, mate.
  6. "if you go back and check" is the new "if you ask my dad"
  7. He'll defo be looked at eventually if things keep going the way they are. The owners will be able to pin this on Purslow without any problem, they don't have any credibility to maintain, and didn't have much role in the choice you'd imagine. So it comes down to how far Purslow wants to go to stand by his man. I remember when MON took over at Celtic, he played this game of downplaying their chances while in private he told the players their only goal was the title. Fine, when you're winning against all and sundry. Risky when you are playing as poorly as we are. I feel sorry for RH, I really do. But I am looking forward to the day of his departure in a way I never have since the days of Souness.
  8. 'Kinell Thommo, brilliant stuff. Absolutely guaranteed he won't get a look in with the current ownership now. There are so many on this sport who trade on false loyalty and emotion, but that really stands out as genuine battling for us. Good post by Pip as well. The last paragraph pretty much asks DH or Mike or someone to try to rip you a new one, but you've been there before so no worries. Very well said mate.
  9. I don't have any malice towards RH, but, sorry, no good. Purslow's assassination of Rafa I do hold a grudge about, he should suffer for that.
  10. Tell you what, first time I have enjoyed the football this season. Apart from that... looking forward to the day we have someone else in the dugout, and Poulsen, whoa, worst centre mid performance in a red shirt for a long while
  11. Trouble here for Roy
  12. OK start, but f***ing sick of seeing sides dominate the possession and have us on the back foot constantly at home
  13. I saw it live on the tele Kev
  14. I saw it. He said it. And he had a look on his face that suggested he meant it. It was in response to a question, but you could tell he was annoyed.
  15. Can't believe you have used the word maybe in this thread title
  16. Leaving aside the possibility that they are a bank of jolly nice chaps with no wish to hurt us, is this the only reason they would have for wanting to avoid the -9?
  17. If we're seriously in a relegation battle come January/February (and with a -9 it maybe wouldn't be that unlikely) surely they couldn't keep him?
  18. I dunno what's got into Molby there, he is generally a good analyst, and he has been absolutely gushing with praise for Rafa when commentating on Danish tele in the past. I believe you all that he said it, but I would say it is out of character based on what I have heard from him in the past. Hope the BBC doesn't have an editorial policy on this stuff.
  19. Just as well we've got the right people making the decisions here then I'm certain we're going to stick with this until Christmas regardless, but it is looking risky.
  20. very infrequent nutters aside, I think the only positive most people are taking is that the poor performance on the pitch is rousing folks from their slumber re: the owners. honestly don't think there are many pleased that RH is failing, or even feeling smug about it. I must admit I'd still be worried about sticking Kenny in the firing line for this s***. Danny Agger has said where it's going to be at. FFS.
  21. I agree.
  22. Proved yourself foolish there HDJ. When he said the opposite.
  23. This content is not viewable to guests.
  24. None of them were as good as Oezil mate
  25. Thuram, Blanc, Barthez... first time round they did, yes. But that side was built around ZZ, not just to harness his talent - it was entirely constructed around his lack of defensive work. The second French team was arguably even MORE talented, by there is no denying the fact that without ZZ they would never have reached the final in 2006.
