  1. Difficult to compare ZZ and Messi, isn't it? ZZ was a languid genius who almost drove the French to the World Cup twice, the second time virtually single handedly. On the pitch he could do pretty much nothing for 89 minutes, and then bring out a moment of magic. Messi hasn't done much for the National side, although with questionable managers it must be said, but on the pitch he is all action with stunning skill, and surrounded by team mates who are also able to contribute something... Both brilliant!

    Agger

Just saw that on TV. Looked tremendously unhappy.
  3. "... obviously he was a great professional ..."
  4. Like a pound shop version of Rafa's reds second half. I'll leave it to the high blood pressure posters to figure out if that's a compliment or criticism of the Englishman.
  5. haha. justified.
  6. Mancs on Sunday, I get that - but why are we not giving a s*** about the wafer?
  7. Rafa only won 1 of those, silly. The ball never went in.
  8. Haha. Naughty, but fair, based on the comment about a high line amongst others.

    Poulsen

    Quite decent in the air...
  10. Always nice to hear from Kenny. Amazing how Internet forums are driving the media releases from the club these days. This is almost a direct reply to the criticisms of the way that RH has been setting up the team - "don't worry, he'll change it as he gets to know the players." Just the same thing happened when RH was criticised for playing 442 at Citeh. "He only did that because of Mascherano - he wanted to play 4231 really." It's really shallow stuff. The club shouldn't be sending out semi-official answers to this stuff.
  11. absolutely correct, physically and aerially dominant
  12. Kewell was magnificent in that game as well.
  13. almost single handedly making the forum interesting - well played to you p.s. no answer to the questions...
  14. Probably one of the few times in his career that GH will take over a team and make it more attacking than the previous manager. The GH vs Rafa squad thing is completely pointless seeing as how Rafa couldn't spend the money that GH could. (already said, but worth saying again )
  15. If this held water everyone would have used it as a successful defence at Nuremburg.
  16. There is, but he's a symbol, isn't he
  17. Because they aren't free?
  18. Last home game of the season I would like us to fly Pellegrino in, then, at half time, he and Poulsen can have a running race one width of the pitch to settle the 'who is slower' debate once and for all.
  19. He well was. There was a lot of hype around him. Suarez definitely needs to go to a better league at some point, surprised City didn't sign him for a laugh.
  20. It's a legendary start and the football has been simply scintillating. Fair play to the man.
  21. Fine goal, very fine. The rest was mostly garbage. I loathe this style of football, I really do.
  22. It's very poor. And s**** to watch, yup. Guardian chalkboards should answer that for you. Interesting reference... Thank heavens for half time, that was appalling.
  23. More like comparing a fiesta to a nova from where i'm sat
  24. Having actually seen Gomez play quite a few times I can safely say that his would be a tremendously underwhelming signing - poor movement, not a great finisher, and not particularly hard working. No idea why Bayern signed him when they did, apart from their strategy of signing any young players on the verge of the national team. I'd honestly rather sign Kuranyi, and he's muck as well. seen Toivonen a few times, never stood out either. presume Meireles is being signed as replacement for Aquilani rather than Mascher
