  1. Yeah he seemed light-hearted in his Sky interview after the game but seems to be whingey and snide in whichever interview this is from: Guardiola said: “I’m so proud of my six Premier Leagues against that [Liverpool] team and the previous team [under Jürgen Klopp]. I didn’t expect Anfield to start chanting at 0-2 that I would be sacked. Maybe I deserved to be sacked with our results! Maybe I’m still in the job because I won six Premier Leagues and a lot of titles. “They want to sack me. I wish they were more kind. Why didn’t they do it at 0-1? Why didn’t they do it last season when we won the Premier League? Why do they want to sack me now? I didn’t expect that from Anfield, for other clubs like Brighton I can understand it. But for Anfield I didn’t expect this, maybe it is the respect we have. They know we have won six Premier Leagues. But it’s fine, it’s part of the game.”
  2. His improved finishing is one of the key reasons we're better than last year. Diaz as well
  3. https://x.com/AdamJoseph____/status/1863286652166402505
  4. It's only injuries (and some other teams) that could f*** us. Otherwise we're grand. Edited cos I don't want to tempt fate
  5. Routine win against a team we should beat Agree with this post
  6. Because we've destroyed them and should have more obviously
  7. Their keeper is dodgy as f*** This half feels like a massive waste
  8. Van Dijk does miss an awful lot of gettable headers tbh
  9. This content is not viewable to guests.
  10. We should bring that badge back permanently anyway
  11. He has a very City name
  12. Just looked this up for confirmation. 167 league appearances at the age of 34, having debuted on loan at Huddersfield at the age of 18. That's terrible.
  13. I thought Martin Kelly looked like he belonged at Premier League level and expected him to be a long-term player for Liverpool. Injuries ruined him. Maybe he would have. Suso is the main one that comes to mind. He seemed to have so much time on the ball and I loved the way he'd calmly put his foot on it and survey what was around. Such are the lies that we tell ourselves when we're s***.
  14. I was on the Patridge bandwagon (not to be confused with his family's famous bus of course) because of his column on Koptalk. Never saw him play in the underage matches but I kept waiting for him to break through and tear the league to shreds. There was an article on him a few years ago where he said each of the major injuries he had slowed him down a little and eventually he just wasn't good enough as a consequence. Ended up becoming a physiotherapist and worked at LFC as part of his training. Also said he's very proud of his two appearances for Liverpool and seemed to have made peace with his lost career.
  15. I think this one might be easier to prove wrong than right tbh
  16. f*** me dead, are we really going to waste this opportunity to go 8 points clear. f***'s sake.
  17. That was annoying as f***. Waste of possession
  18. FFS, just seen Szobo pointlessly push someone over now. You could already fashion a pretty good "pointlessly pushing people over" compilation out of this start
  19. I hope we don't end up regretting these yellow cards. Don't think they were needed at this stage
  20. There is no greater authority than Football Den
  21. Kerkez is brilliant
  22. WTF? He looks taller than all of them. Online information about footballers' and other sportsmen's heights is very often b******s though. Also, teenager's have growth spurts.
  23. Summarised in 15 dot points by ChatGPT: Ryan Gravenberch's Role: Gravenberch has excelled as Liverpool’s No. 6, and there’s no current Plan B with his unique ball-carrying and press resistance abilities. Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones could fill in if needed. January Transfer Plans: Unlikely to see significant squad additions in January unless injuries arise. However, Liverpool will remain alert for market opportunities, like they did with Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo. Mohamed Salah's Contract: Liverpool wants to extend Salah’s contract by two years, keeping him until 2027. A significant pay rise or a longer contract could complicate negotiations, especially with Saudi clubs offering huge wages. Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold Contracts: Talks over new contracts for Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold are ongoing but complex. Decisions on these players will impact Liverpool's future transfer plans. Alexander-Arnold's Future: Despite reports linking him with Real Madrid, it’s unlikely Alexander-Arnold will leave in January. Liverpool’s preference is to keep him for a potential title charge. Ibrahima Konaté's Contract: Konaté, whose contract runs until 2026, is in talks for an extension. He is happy and performing at his best, with his best years ahead of him. Left-Back Signings: No plans to buy another left-back despite Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas’ roles being rotated. Robertson is still performing well after recovering from injury. Federico Chiesa's Injury: Chiesa has had a frustrating start at Liverpool due to fitness issues, but the club is giving him a "mini pre-season." There’s no truth to rumors of him being sold in January. Injuries to Jota and Elliott: Diogo Jota is expected back a week after the international break, while Harvey Elliott is training with the under-21s and should return to first-team training next week. FSG's Search for New Club: FSG’s search for a new club has gone quiet since their potential takeover of Bordeaux fell through. They still aim to build a multi-club model when the right opportunity arises. Caoimhin Kelleher’s Future: Kelleher, who has expressed a desire to become a No. 1 goalkeeper, could be sold next summer with only a year left on his contract. Liverpool signed Giorgi Mamardashvili as part of long-term succession planning. Tyler Morton’s Game Time: Morton has struggled for opportunities at Liverpool, but he impressed in the Carabao Cup and will have to keep pushing for a chance as Jürgen Slot currently favors Endo. Adidas Kit Deal: Details of Liverpool’s new £60m-per-year Adidas deal are still under wraps, with bonuses based on team performance. Official confirmation is expected in January. Liverpool’s Young Talents: Trey Nyoni (17), Kieran Morrison (18), Rio Ngumoha (16), Ranel Young (18), and DJ Esdaille (16) are among the most exciting young players in Liverpool’s academy. Omar Marmoush Rumors: Despite reports linking him to Liverpool, the club is not pursuing Marmoush, as they already have six elite attacking options and would only look to add a forward if someone left.
