Lol. Yeah they had it under control the whole time. Purposely waiting to get someone in until it's two league games deep and they've had no pre-season to settle in is the sort of big brain move lesser operators wouldn't have even thought of.

Del Piero played in Australia for two years and I believe he actually lives in LA now. His English was limited when he arrived in the A-League but he spoke enough to express himself in interviews. From what I've seen lately he's really very fluent now. I wasn't expecting Cannavaro to speak it as well as he does though.

Diaz learning to shoot with his left foot like that is a gamechanger. It was the main thing holding him back

He said something in the middle of that that softened it, like "they were very tough opponents" but it was still wonderfully blunt and to the point. I remember Guus Hiddink saying things like that when he managed Australia. I'll believe that it's a Dutch thing.

Yeah always felt like he was being reshaped into being something didn't come naturally to him. I think he's most comfortable taking it forward and running at people, based on my early impressions of him.
