  1. They'll play low block, I'm sure Moyes would've deeply analysed the Burley game. They'll play for set pieces and have the odd counter attack to try to make something happen.
  2. Jeez, the first guy needs some therapy. He was in such despair about the penalty been given he was all over the floor and he doesn't even support Burnley.
  3. Christ we can't keep getting away with this, can we? Somehow we've got 12 from 12, and we're not firing on all cylinders at the moment. I know we're integrating new players into a system and the international break doesn't help but sooner or later we need to start playing better or it's going to come back and bite us on the a***. Burnley have now given the rest of the league a blueprint for how to play against us because let's be honest they defended well and frustrated the hell out of us. If a promoted team can do this then any other team in this league can do it. Especially as Bournemouth have shown with the intent to counter attack. Be it, there are three positives we can take from this: 1. Three points, that goes without saying. 2. Another clean sheet after a shaky start defensively. 3. Mo getting on the score sheet, he's not had a good start to the season compared to his usual standards. Hopefully this will kick him on.
  4. All in all a fantastic transfer window. Apart from Palace s***ting the bed at the last minute we got all of our targets. Now we can just focus on the football for the next few months until January. Touch wood Gomez and Konate stay injury free and Leoni progresses quicker than expected.
  5. We've got enough cover for centre back for now. Leoni, Van Dijk, Konate and Gomez. Yes Konate and Gomez are injury prone but it's a gamble we'll have to take till January.
  6. Christ that's embarrassing if so, Guehi must be royally pissed off with all of this.
  7. That is what must've happened. Manager saw his a*** gave the owner an ultimatum and the owner had to back down.
  8. That's a shame but we'll be back in January for a much lower fee.
  9. If we don't get Guehi now, then surely we'll be back in January with a lower price otherwise Palace risk losing him in the summer for free.
  10. Aye, Van Dijk said to expect a big summer, it's one of the reasons why he signed a new contract. I mean I never begrudged Trent wanting to go because if your heart isn't in it then it was best for him to leave. I'm sure seeing what we've done, he'll be having some regrets.
  11. We've now built a strong base to the squad going forward. I expect us over the next few summers to only add one or two players a season to replace those who age out like Mo, Van Dijk and Alisson. I wouldn't expect a summer like this again for a long time.
  12. Pundits who are moaning about what we're doing can all f*** off. We're doing this based upon prior success not by being doped with tons of cash from nation states. Where were they when Chelsea started doing it in the 2000s or City doing it in the 2010s? We're just one of the best if not the best run clubs in world football. Edwards, Ward and Hughes have played a blinder. They've saved up the kitty over the past couple a seasons and come in at the right time.
  13. Mamardashvili Frimpong Kerkez Wirtz Ekitike Leoni Isak Guehi
  14. Probably for the first time in my life time we as a club have strengthened from a position of strength. We didn't do it after winning the CL in 2005, 2019 and the title in 2020. Jurgen laid down the foundations for all of this to happen so we as a club are eternally grateful for what he has done. I am gobsmacked with what we've done this summer. Never did I ever believe we were ever capable of having a transfer window like this. This is an exciting time to be a Liverpool fan. Absolutely incredible and unprecedented.
  15. This is all very exciting isn't it?
  16. For all the talent in that Arsenal squad they play some atrocious football. Arteta is turning into Mourinho every day, he is under so much pressure to deliver a big trophy that he feels the only way he can get there is by being pragmatic. Several years ago they were playing some fantastic football, creative, direct, entertaining, all it needed was some tweaks here and then but he's effectively changed their entire style of play over the past two seasons. Its dull, uninspiring, hard to watch. His side are totally reliant on set pieces, he's just a Tony Pulis or a Sam Allardyce with a lot of money.
  17. Arsenal game plan, keep it solid, sit tight, hit on counter, try to nab one from a set play. This is going to be a tough one.
  18. Gakpo done with a minimum of fuss but Konate's drags on. Good news anyway.
  19. Aye and when they get there they'll take some shifting.
  20. Well yeah, like I said there is something rotten at the club. He knows he f***ed up taking the job. I don't think he genuinely understood how bad it was there before he took the job. His comments don't surprise me one bit.
  21. Oh he's desperate absolutely but every Man Utd manager since Ferguson has been trying to keep the sack at bay. To be honest why would any top player want to go to Manchester United? Obviously its not to win trophies, it's to get a big paycheck. Why would any up and coming young manager want to take that job? Amorin should've never went to Manchester United, he's now destroyed any reputation he had in the game and it hard to get it back.
  22. I think it's too simplistic to say he's not a good manager. If FSG decided to go with Amorin instead of Slot after Jurgen left do you think Amorin would be just as bad as he is now? I don't think so, Manchester United as a club is deeply broken. That place has become a graveyard for both players and managers alike. The amount of money wasted over the past 12 years is ludicrous for so little in return. Mourinho was right, his greatest managerial achievement was getting them to finish second. They're a club with no long term plan, rudderless and totally relied on Ferguson to steady the ship. Yes the Glazers backed their managers with a lot of cash, but it does make me wonder how many of their purchases over the years is what the ownership wanted (Due to pressure from their reactive fan base to spend like crazy) rather than what the manager needed. You could say their fans are just as guilty for their demise as the Glazers.
  23. There is something deeply rotten at that club. I feel a little sorry for Amorin, he's a good manager but he's been swallowed up by the same malaise that has taken previous managers since Ferguson left. I mean look at him tonight, this is a guy who looks defeated and is barely holding on. He's a shell of a man who walked into club, there's something about the atmosphere or culture at the club that literally starts eating away at your soul. I can see it getting worse for them before it gets better. They need a hard reset, relegation would be the ideal thing for them.
  24. Christ, we were never this bad when we went thirty years without the English title. I know we had some lows under Hodgson but the Mancs are taking the piss. They've got to be one of the worst run clubs in world football.
