  1. Needs to change tactics to save his job. Dump the 4-3-3 and play a formation that best suits the players at his disposal. 4-4-2 diamond or three at the back.
  2. We have now lost six out of our last seven in the league and seven of our last 10 in all competitions. Since March its been midtable from, recently its been relegation form. We've been on a downhill trajectory for quite some time and I've seen no signs Slot can stop it.
  3. It is, very, the guy just won the Premier League title in his first season with us and everything is now falling apart around him. No one expected this at the start of the campaign, I was expecting a slow start with new players bedding in but still mounting a title challenge come Christmas.
  4. I'm not convinced by him but then I wasn't convinced by Slot either.
  5. Mourinho was sacked from Chelsea in 2015 after lying 16th in the table in December. Ranieri was sacked from Leicester in 2017 after lying 17th in the table in February. Slot though is doing his best to beat them.
  6. Agreed, we need to have a replacement lined up if we pull the trigger. No caretakers or stop gaps but I cannot think of anyone I would want to turn this around other than Jurgen. The managerial pool out there is extremely limited.
  7. Szoboszlai is the only player at the moment who has continued his form from last season, everyone else are way below par. I think Slot has three games to save his job.
  8. Yes I agree he should be allowed but the longer he goes trying to stick to the current set up and formation and hoping it just clicks into place the more likely I want him gone.
  9. Class player but is being used wrong, not playing to his strengths, system doesn't work for him.
  10. Nah in February we beat Man City, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Wolves in the League. We've been grim since March.
  11. If my Maths is correct, since we lost to PSG in the Champions League and lost to Newcastle in the League Cup Final, our Premier League form ONLY has been: P20 W8 D2 L8 F35 A34 GD+1 Pts 26 It's midtable form, I know some will discount the form at the end of last season because we had the title wrapped up but now it cannot be taken in isolation because of our form at the start of this season.
  12. Especially after spending 400 million quid in the summer. No one was expecting this, Slot has made the team worse not better. It wouldn't surprise me at all if FSG did pull the trigger.
  13. Under normal circumstances I'd still give him more time to try to turn it all around but what is really now pushing me towards him going is the fact we have outstanding players in the squad after spending 400 million quid in the summer and he is not getting the best out of them. I don't think he knows how to do this because he keeps playing the same system we played all of last season and is hoping the players will adapt to the system rather than playing a system that gets the best out of them. Isak, Kerkez and Wirtz are excellent players, they shown and proven with all their clubs last season. The current system and our style of play is just not working for them. We're playing poorly not because we have bad players it's because of the way the manager wants them to play. Arne you need to leave Anfield today and understand you need to CHANGE. We're too slow, predictable, passing sideways, conceding goals for fun, vulnerable on the counter attack, a soft touch in the middle of the park.
  14. He needs to change the system, simple as, I was expecting him to do this sometime ago but he is stubbornly refusing to do so. The sooner he realises this the better, problem is I've seen no evidence of him trying to do this so he is sack will be inevitable.
  15. It's clearly a motivational thing. Can get ourselves up for Real Madrid at home but not for Nottingham Forest at home. That's on the manager to motivate the players. I think he's lost that ability and therefore the dressing room. Quite clear the players have checked out.
  16. I think that's the most frightening thing from all of this. Those first five games in the most of them we got out of jail. We could easily be rooted in the bottom half of the table.
  17. One of two things is going to happen: 1. Slot goes away from this game and he now finally realises he has to change the way we approach games. 4-3-3 is no longer an option. Play your outstanding players to their strengths instead of trying to fit square pegs in round holes. 2. He refuses to change and the inevitable sack is coming. I've only see evidence of 2 happening
  18. Grim and grim, I don't think he has any idea how to address this slump.
  19. I've backed Slot all season but I needed to see some sort of change of ideas to stop the rot. He won the title last season but we look a shadow of the same side now.
  20. We're too predictable, got an extremely soft underbelly. Conceding goals left right and centre, same formation, same tactics that has been letting us down all season.
  21. Once again after an international break I was expecting any sort of response, any evidence that he was trying to remedy the solution to our problems. It looks like he hasn't and is hoping something will just click and come together.

  23. Listen I get it we all have bad memories of playing three at the back in the mid to late 1990s. I remember, I was there on the Kop when it happened, seven quid a ticket. Wirtz is the future, we now need to fully transition and build the team around him. So what are the options? Its either three at the back or four at the back with a diamond midfield four. It means Mo will have to sacrifice the position he has made his own at the club over the past eight years. Or we all dream of a team of Van Dijks!
  24. That could work but it would mean Mo having to be in the two up top. Midfield would have to look something like this with width being provided by the full backs. Gravenberch McAllister Dom Wirtz
