Match Topic Everton vs Liverpool - Premier League, 19th April @ 2pm

Not looking forward to this. It's going to be attritional and I don't think this manager can motivate these players up for a battle. So expect a defeat.... again -
The audacity of this manager, do me a favour and just do one. Klopp had peanuts compared to this manager financially. He had Williams and Phillips as a centre back pairing for a third of a season and finished third. He constantly deflects blame or any responsibility on poor results and performances. I'm so sick of him, I can't imagine how the players feel about him.

Need some morphine after watching this Liverpool team. -
Yeah but football is a team game, you rely on tactics and the other players on the field to be the best version of yourself. Wirtz is outstanding, look at him when played for Leverkusen or Germany. Simple fact is our manager doesn't know what to do with him.

I haven't been this disillusioned by a manager at Liverpool since the days of Roy Hodgson. I know we had Brendan Rodgers before Klopp but at least you sensed the end was near and it rightfully came. Under this manager though I thought the end was near after the run of 9 defeats in 12 games before Christmas. Here we are in April, barely improved, same inconsistency, same performances and it's like they're torturing us.
-
Totally, he doesn't even know his best formation, his best starting eleven, he doesn't even know how to utilize a squad. He can't get the best out of the players that won him a league title almost a year ago.
-
He's deluded. he's just making more excuses and talking s*** because he's feeling the heat and he knows this season hasn't been good enough.
-
Yeah an Ajax one, if they'll take him. Across those two legs, so many bizarre decisions, the cowardice showed in Paris with no shots on goal, playing a striker for 45 mins after coming back from a long term injury in a Champions League QF, I'm so tired of him and the football we play.
-
Feel bad for the guy, he's an outstanding player but right now the manager shortcomings are exposing him.

A great example of a player who has been ruined by our manager. Was one of the best left backs in the league last season. Had an outstanding season for Bournemouth. Comes to Liverpool and looks very average. -
He's just not good enough, a better manager would be getting a lot more out of the players in this squad. We've got so many players right now who are a shadow of their former selves from last season. That's not because the players got really bad overnight it's because of training and tactics implemented by the manager and coaches. Gakpo, McAllister, Salah, Kerkez, Konate, Van Dijk have all been way below where they were last season.

No I don't think so, we've got some outstanding talent in the squad. They're just being poorly trained and coached. Our manager is out of his depth, he somehow won a league last season but this season his shortcomings have come to fruition. -

Simple fact of the matter is we weren't in this tie for 135 mins. Penalty aside, PSG deserve to go through. They don't have better players than us they just have a manager that is better than ours. -

Don't let this victory deceive you. Here's a stat from today's game: Fulham have had 19 attempts, the joint most Liverpool have faced in a Premier League game at Anfield on record (since 2003-04). -

That was a disgrace as well under Rafa. -

Arsenal fans are a disgrace, booing your team off at home while being nine points clear at the top. -
Just f***ing go!

Cowardly performance, fire him NOW. -
Yearly league form (Apr 4th 2025 to Apr 4th 2026, around 38-39 games played) Brentford 61 pts Liverpool 60 pts (A game less) Mancs 60 pts Everton 60 pts Newcastle 58 pts So over the past year we've been as good as the Mancs, Everton and Brentford. Just think how bad Everton and the Mancs have been during that period despite a recent revival. That's how bad we've been, even Brentford are outperforming us.
-
Of course and why does it always keep happening to us? If this was a one off then yeah you could argue everything City touched turned into goals but when it happens all the time then you know the problem isn't luck. Its the f***ing manager and how you are training and motivating the players. We've heard the same excuses for the past year and it hasn't got any better.
-
Once you've lost the away fans it's over, the home fans made their feelings known after the Spurs game a few weeks ago. He's a dead man walking, we're just now waiting for our owners to have the balls to fire him. I've lost all hope and I no longer look forward to our next game with him in charge because I know it'll be same story we've seen over the past year.
-
Just f***ing go, we need any sort of boost before this crucial run of fixtures. We're sleep walking to the end of the season if he stays.
-
Agreed, but he's not the only one. We got so many good players playing way below the best. That's all on the managers ability to get the best out of them.
-
The one player who epitomises our performances this season. Now quite a few of them are playing way below par but this guy has shown the biggest drop off.
