  1. Sick of this, same pattern all season. 1. Start the game well, create a few good chances, might take one. 2. Give the opposition, when not in the game a cheap goal or two due to bad decision making at the back. 3. Huff and puff to try to get back into the game. 4. Make substitutions which then disjoints our play and system. 5. Barely create a chance and not have a shot on target until eventually the game peters out to a score draw or defeat.
  2. Stop playing Roy Evans football! I've lost count the number of cheap goals we've conceded this season. Having flashbacks to Scales, Wright, Ruddock and Babb on the Kop.
  3. A goal back but we shouldn't be in this position in the first place. Dominating them and 2-0 down even if we come back to win 3-2 yes I'd be ecstatic but the same problems linger.
  4. Papering over the cracks as usual. We have such a soft underbelly it's f***ing crazy. The opposition only need one chance and they score. If we set out to defend we can defend but when we set out to attack we cannot defend. It's been our undoing all season long. It's the same pattern, the same s***ty mistakes at the back time and time again. Nothing has changed.
  5. f***ing predictable as the sun rises in the east. Outplay the opposition, numerous chances missed and we always gift the opposition a goal. I'm really sick of it, this is Roy Evans era football.
  6. Much better performance, we looked fluid and energetic. Probably our best performance since Villa at home and that's a long time ago! Just now got to sort out the low block teams. We play at our best when the opposition wants to play.
  7. 1 Arsenal P31 Pts66 2 Manchester City P31 Pts64 3 Aston Villa P29 Pts61 4 Chelsea P32 Pts54 5 Newcastle United P30 Pts51 6 Brentford P32 Pts51 7 Liverpool P30 Pts50 8 Everton P31 Pts44 9 Manchester United P32 Pts43 10 Fulham P32 Pts43 League standings since we went out of the Champions League last season to PSG.
  8. If we stick with Slot, we will not make top 4. It's time to pull the trigger.
  9. We have 5 wins and 21 points from out last 17 League games. 1.24pts/game. The Owl averaged 1.25pts/game. Half a season and he's just as bad as the Owl. This is desperate stuff.
  10. Somehow, the rest of the teams below us aren't that much better. But only three points separates 4th to 8th. At the moment we're just the best of a really mediocre bunch of teams.
  11. 5 wins in 17 games 9 defeats in 12 games earlier on 3 points from 9 against the promoted teams at Anfield. He's taken us from relegation form to mid table form. Those five wins at the start of the season when we clearly got the rub of the green (Was the exception rather than the rule) is still keeping us with a chance of top 4. He's very lucky to be Liverpool manager still. If he was at any other top club around Europe he'd be sacked by now.
  12. He's getting better, think he's now starting to come grips with the game in England. Scoring a few recently has really increased his confidence. Shame we can't f***ing defend as soon as we come under any sustained pressure from the opposition.
  13. Been the story of the season, I'd say in the majority of our games the opposition have outworked us. The Xg stat is also a similar story. We always s*** the bed at the back as soon as the opposition puts any sustained pressure on us. I thought this reminded me more like the end of Houllier but now it feels more like the end of Evans/Rodgers.
  14. Time to go, a draw at the Emirates was papering over the cracks. We didn't even beat any of the three promoted teams at Anfield. His record this season is mediocre. We've plateaued and are not going to get better.
  15. So predictable, play well in spurts first half, then s*** the bed second half and finish the game with no structure. It's the same story every week, nothing's changing. He stop the rot after that awful run of defeats but after successive draws it appears we've plateaued. It's not going to get better. That starting eleven had more than enough to beat that Burnley side today.
  16. That's another papering over the cracks performance. We've had a lot of them this season. 4-1 flatters us, still not convinced he can get us back to where we were.
  17. What a miserable experience it must be to be an Everton fan. 30 years and nothing to show for it.
  18. Well it's a point I wasn't expecting. Going to be interesting how we continue to perform against low block and counter attacking teams. That's been our downfall this season.
  19. The formation changed has helped. It got us out of that terrible run of form but if you can't get the basics right (Defending from the front, high press as a unit, strong in the tackle, working hard on and off the ball, minimising unforced errors) then it doesn't matter what formation you play. Agree, yes sometimes it's bad luck when it's a one off but this been happening time and time again. That old adage still rings true, you make your own luck.
  20. Arsenal are no better than last season to be honest, we've just fallen mightily off a cliff. City are a little better but they're not consistent enough to challenge Arsenal. Arsenal have all the basic ingredients to be title winners, solid, play as a team, good at set pieces, but do lack creativity from open play but they still just enough to win matches. This isn't an Arsene Wenger Arsenal, it is a George Graham Arsenal.
  21. Appears to me Slot doesn't understand to win games in this League you have to work harder than the opposition, only then do you get the right to play football. Only then will the gulf in player quality come into effect. Our slow ponderous play is why we are where we are, does he honestly think playing pass after pass after pass slowly will overcome the work ethic of the opposition players? He should know better by now and the fact he continues to set us up to play like this thinks he's set in his ways and not adapting.
  22. I'd take a PSG away result and performance right now. Allison will be busy.
  23. We've not played well across a whole ninety minutes since March. It's now January the following year. It's been almost a calendar year and I've not seen a decent Liverpool performance in the Premier League. In that time we've seen stoppage time winners, conceding stoppage time goals, heavy defeats both home and away, turgid, slow, one dimensional football, baffling substitutions, questionable tactics, squandering two goal leads, individual players making uncharacteristic unenforced errors, player speaking out against the manager, lack of energy and urgency on the pitch. In terms of where we were and where we are right now, football wise this season has been a complete cluster f***. This is after spending 450 million quid in the summer. Imagine if Jurgen got a warchest like that. Heads need to roll in the summer after this debacle. Slot ultimately will take the fall for what happens on the pitch but others should walk with him.
  24. No Gerrard, no stop gaps except Klopp. If we cannot get Klopp then keep Slot till the end of the season.
