Its the same pattern, with the same players and the same formation. It's time to drop players regardless of reputation and past performances. I've been waiting for Arne to do this and to show he has the cojones to do it to some of our big name players. IT IS NOT WORKING.

That's been a consistent feature in all of our games. Our midfield is non existent.

Perhaps but based on what I've seen so far this season results wise and the type of players we bought in the summer I cannot see how we can persist with a 4-3-3. Isak/Ekiteke thrives on playing on the defender shoulder or receiving the ball from wide areas. Wirtz is most effective and dangerous in behind the front man or men. However he would need defensive cover behind him to let him play his natural game. Frimpong is not a full back, his strengths lie going forward as a wing back or a right sided midfielder. He can play right back but his stats show he's far more effective and dangerous going forward. Kerkez is a shadow of the player we saw at Bournemouth last season. He has disappointed me the most. But I think he's being horribly exposed because of a lack of defensive cover from midfield. What I'm saying is if you want to get the best out of these particular players then a formation change is the way to go. Persisting with 4-3-3 is futile.

It did but 30 mins in one game was the exception rather than the rule. Just look at the past 900 mins. 4-3-3 isn't working, if he refuses to change it he will be sacked.

It's the way to go. Two pacy front men, plenty of height to cause mayhem in opposition defenses. Wing backs/fullbacks to provide the width. Sounds like it could work.

Needs to change now though, Salah needs to be dropped or put up top in a two. Mo's game has changed recently he's a much better creator than what he gets credit for.

True but he is much more than that. He's scored plenty of goals when defenses have sat in against Newcastle. He has pace, he's quick minded, intelligent, bullet of a shot, lethal goalscorer. We aren't just moving the ball quick enough for him. I'd love to see him up top working with someone else where a partnership can be developed.

Absolutely the basics are required but right now confidence is low, the players look lost, class players are woefully out of form. I'd argue the basics will only take you so far if the players are willing to fight and convinced of the managers methods. Been saying this for a while now we bought outstanding talent in the summer with Isak, Wirtz, Etikeke, Kerkez and Frimpong and ALL of them are playing well below what we know they're capable of playing. These are not bad players, they're proven quality and the fact ALL of them are struggling is saying to me this is a systematic problem. Slot needs to drop 4-3-3 system he is obsessing over recently and change, play the system in which all of these players can thrive in. That means either three at the back or a 4-4-2 diamond. The solution is staring right at him in the face but he won't do it despite the fact we're in the bottom half of the table and are on one of the worst runs of form in the clubs history. This squad should be challenging for the title with the talent at its disposal and I want Arne to turn this around because I know he can do much better because of what he achieved last season. Right now this entire period reminds me of the late Houllier years around 2003. I was there inside the ground when it all played out. Once he loses the Anfield crowd and the boos start coming down from the terraces it's over. He MUST make some hard decisions and change the formation.

Yes he barely had a touch of the ball against Forest. Another class player where the manager is failing to get the best out of him.

Good player, it's a failure of the manager not getting the best out of him. Don't just become terrible overnight after what he shown last season.

If he starts with the same 4-3-3 formation against PSV and West Ham he's onto a hiding to nothing.

If Slot does go then the only person I entertain for the job right now is Klopp. I am not convinced by any other name being thrown around such as Iraola or Glasner
