Well the status quo will take him there anyway. The way I see it for the players we have at our disposal 3-4-1-2 is the way to go.
-
Needs to play in his best position to get the best out of him. He's the future so build the team around him. Put two midfielders behind him and put two up top.
-
Manager needs to make a complete change in philosophy. He needs to make some hard decisions to turn this around. We looked more of a team against Frankfurt even though some of the shortcomings were still evident. We have a lot of players who are not working for the current system we play. These players haven't just gone bad overnight. They were fantastic for their respective clubs last season so I think our main issue is more tactical than personnel. If so then for the good of the team I'm afraid then Mo cannot play right wing anymore unless he goes up top with Hugo or Isak.
-
Aye, I like the look of that. I think it's down to not playing the system that best suits the players at his disposal.
-
Maybe we should go three at the back with wing backs? It worked for Conte at Chelsea and he won the league doing it. It would give us an extra body in midfield and increase creativity and width from the wide areas. It would also allow Wirtz to play in a position he is familiar with. Could then play two up top.
-
Then choose the system that is best for the players at his disposal. 3-4-1-2, we need some defensive solidity back in midfield. Three in there isn't working at the moment. It isn't just going to click if we carry on down this road.

Not yet for me, i'm in Georgia, USA. Only 7pm here, must stew for a little while longer.

How about analysing previous games on tape? Identify weaknesses, look at where the opposition are exploiting them? Adjust tactics to counter them and to get the best out of his players? There is plenty he can do. The longer this goes the less convinced I am of him turning this around. This squad of players should not be losing four on the bounce in the premier league.
-
Sorry Arne you're just making excuses, and you're doing the same mistakes time and time again. It's time to turn this around, you've got one of the best squads in Europe at your disposal and you're not getting the best out of these players.
-
Arne needs to go away and reassess everything he knows and what he has believed in. What is going on right now is not working. He needs to put his ego aside and build everything up again from scratch and get these players he has at his disposal in a formation that best works for them and counters the strengths/tactics of the opposition. If he is not willing to change/evolve in this league then he is onto a hiding to nothing. He should've been doing this over the international break but he went away on holiday. You cannot stand still and hope what you're currently doing will come good because there is no evidence out there that I can see it will start to happen. We have no style of play, we have no pattern, we have no identity, the players are playing like they've only just got together and never met one another before. We have a soft underbelly, we're too easy to play against, the opposition cut right through us in the middle of the park. We're too predictable and too slow, struggle to break down a low block and easy for teams to counter on us. It's time to drop out of form players, no matter what they've done for the club. That includes Mo in that I'm afraid. Top four and a decent run in the Champions League is our new goal this season and that all feels such a disappointment after winning the league last season by such a comfortable margin. Arne needs to change and quick because the knives are sharpening.

Correction: 3 against Brentford.

Another defeat, another game where against premier league opposition we have been outfought and outplayed. Slot doesn't seem to know how to counter this. -

He's changed the players, but not the system or how we play. We have no identity, there is no pattern of play from us at all. It's the same mistakes time and time again. Whatever system he is trying to play its not working with the players or squad he has at his disposal. -

That's the main concern, I don't think he has even tried to fix this. He has this idea in his head that if he carries on down this road it'll just click into place. Its far too reactive and not proactive. -

The manager needs to change something, it is not working. If this carries on for another few more games the calls for his head will only intensify. -

That's it in a nutshell really, we have the better players on paper but you have to work as just as hard as the opposition to earn anything in this league. -

As much as i'm irate at the pen, we had that coming, no response from us coming out 2nd half. Outfought, outbattled, outworked. -

They are, he won us the title last season, however the longer this run of form continues, with the same mistakes happening time and time again and no signs of intent to remedy them its going to get harder to justify it. -

I hate to say this but I think Mo is a guaranteed starter anymore, he hasn't played well all season. I don't think the way we've set up this season suits his style of play. I think its time to bench him, he isn't all there mentally at the moment. I think out of all the players in this squad he was affected the most by Diogo's death. -

This team is still completely unbalanced, whatever Slot is trying to play its quite clear those players he has out on that pitch just don't work together effectively. We got too many passengers at the moment and its the same players putting in poor performances week in and week out. -
Same pattern every week, we've now conceded: Two goals to Bournemouth Two goals to Newcastle Two goals to Atletico Madrid Two goals to Crystal Palace (Twice) Two goals to Chelsea Two goals to the Mancs Two goals to Brentford Let's be honest, it doesn't matter how good your attacking players are if you keep on conceding that many goals in a game on a consistent basis you are not winning many. We've got a soft underbelly, we're predictable and slow, its too easy to play and defend against. We're relying on individual brilliance to win us games and not team performances. Its been like this all season, Arne says it just fine margins, its f***ing not, this is the first time in his managerial career I'm starting to have serious doubts about him. He just refuses to acknowledge the problem.

That's the scary thing, this team has got worse since last season. We've been telling Slot what hes been doing is not working and he refuses to change or evolve. He's getting found out very quickly here, this league is unforgiving. -

f***ing deserved, I'm getting sick of this s***, we can all see the problems and the manager is turning a blind eye to it.
