Lets try and be realistic here. Pennant has the potential to be a very good player but still has a long way to go. Its not like there was a host of big clubs trying to sign him. The same goes for Gonzalez. Momo while very effective at closing the ball down etc. has a lot of work to do in other areas of his game. Kewell is a player I have been disappointed in since he came. Although injury, loss of form and attitude may have deprvied us of that. He still has a long way to go prove himself. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets less games this year with the other options available to him.

No doubt Zidane has been the finest player in the world over the last 10 years. However, he has always had a bit of a nasty streak. Off the top of my head I know he has been sent off 4 times, 3 of which where for violent conduct. In the CL 5 or 6 years ago he was sent off in successive matches. One of which was for a headbutt.

Not that I'm defending Arsenal in anyway (was shouting for Barca all the way ) but I would be fairly sure that the demand for tickets from the Barca fans would have been far greater that that of the Milan fans last year. This would obviously mean less tickets available on the open market for Arsenal fans

There's plenty of people who bandwagon jump for the big tournaments and don't give a crap the rest of the time and a few that don't care atall. Having lived in London for a few years and being there for Euro 2004 I believe the hype, passion / moaning and eh hype of the press and English people in London is every bit as feverent as the Irish. Although maybe that just London for you...............
