Is it a case of the club being made look bad at tranfer negotiations simpy because the initial transfer fee of the player involved was too high? Two example spring to mind. signing Cisse for 14 m and Diouf for 10.75m. with hindsight they were both overpriced but there is no way we can get our 14m back for Cisse - no matter who you have negotiating the deal. Funny as fuvk!! Whats equally amusing has been some of Strachans interviews this year on Setanta without the bad language. I don't remember him being as bad with Coventry Southampton but could be wrong....

The Socrates playing football in Ireland is a total myth. A Irish sports journalist (can't remember who) followed up on the story and asked the Brazilian based journalist Alex Bellos who in turn asked Socrates in person.
