  1. Honestly can’t believe you’re still doing this Ste
  2. Doubt we will do anything unless we get a catastrophic injury. Interested to see the Pulisic situation. If he doesn’t sign anything in January I’d imagine we’d be in for him in the Summer.
  3. They won’t win. That’s all that matters really.
  4. Was class when I saw him play for Vitesse. Think he could be really good.
  5. While it was ultimately the right decision the process has to be much better. It shouldn't be 30 seconds of play then going to go look at it. It has been considered a mess over here. Booking my tickets for Utrecht v Zenit. Can't wait to get my head staved in by some mad Russian.
  6. Very much doubt there's any legs in this. No word of it over here. FWIW, he'd be a good signing as a squad player but nothing more.
  7. f*** La Liga and Barcelona whinging about being bullied. Barcelona and Madrid have been allowed to run riot over that league and have done the exact same thing to countless teams for their best players.
  8. Probably. Stupid f***ing league. Oh, didn't know that. First Dahoud now this. b******s.
  9. Yeah just mean that by weakening rivals they didn't need to spend so much.

  11. Improved a lot at the back end of the season and he's a good option in different positions. Don't think he'll leave either way. Who is the alternative if Leipzig hold on to him? Oxlade-Chamberlain? Goretzka?
  12. Was really good over here.
  13. Recently introduced at Ajax and has been really well received. Most grounds here have huge swathes of fans standing but no railings. Never had any problems with it when I've been part of it and the atmosphere is pretty good in there.
  14. Imagine it would be the same at Bayern. Actually surprised he didn't spend more at Bayern but then again he just bought his rivals best players so didn't have to maybe.

  18. Can't comment on the first two but I don't think anyone thought Torres was going to be as good as he was and I remember people advocating selling Suarez after one season because he wouldn't score goals. The broader point is that buying players from your Atletico (back then) and Ajaxs of the world is what we should be targeting. Even other integral lads weren't nailed on. Alonso had a good couple of seasons at Sociedad, Mascherano was in the reserves at West Ham. Yeah, like Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho, Mane, Firmino etc. Alex Teixeira, Konopolyanka etc. haven't lit any fires anywhere.
  19. The kind of lads we seem to be getting heavily linked with (Werner, Pulisic, Dahoud, Brandt etc.) are players you'd think could make the step up a la Suarez or Coutinho. We've never been a kind of club to go out and spend a huge wedge on a giant name and I don't know why anyone thinks that would change. Besides, it's not like Klopp has ever been the kind of manager to pursue those kinds of deals.
  20. Fotmob is a damn liar.
  21. Is it ever as simple as we think in that if we just offer more money it'll happen? Mkhitaryan got swayed by Klopp, Dele Alli was just a clusterf*** and nothing to do with money, Sanchez chose Arsenal over us. Of the other stupid ones it's not like the players have gone on to be brilliant (your Alex Teixeria, Konopolyanka etcs) There is no way we will get Dahoud. He goes to one of the huge clubs. We could probably get Brandt if we want and imagine we probably will. Pulisic is a difficult one because he's so young and Dortmund obviously really rate him. I know it's not one of the things we like to hear but we're not a huge draw anymore. We haven't had CL football consistently and Klopp is the first big - continental - manager we've had since the peak of Benitez. We will get back to the point where we can be a good sell as a club with history, with a good manager and an upcoming squad but this idea that we can just throw money about and fix everything right now is daft.
  22. And the amount of times we've been chasing a goal and he's floated a ball in to no avail again and again and again and again. If Clyne had anything close to a left foot I'd say put him there and tell him to defend and put Trent right back. Milner issue is that if Coutinho stays on the left and Lallana is nominally the left-most central midfielder then you have no natural width on that side.

  24. Only 15 in the last 10 though isn't it?
