Bootle Buck Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 We went after the lad and he apparently is the "real deal" yet he has been used sparringly since January. Was he not fit or is he not quite ready to step into replace Carra or Sami? I hope he isn't another squad player that isn't ready for the big time as Sami and Carra need a break.
Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I was thinking today that maybe we should use him more before he gets Cheyroued or LeTalleced. Rafa knows more than me and sees him in training everyday so there you go.
Ripley Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He's crap, behead him.LOL Is the only correct answer
Maldini Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He hadn't played for three months when we signed him. He's not fit yet. There's also the fact that we have two brilliant CBs already in the team.

There's also the fact that we have two brilliant CBs already in the team. I heard that beni didn't scout him properly and then in his first training session he discovered that our new danish cb couldn't head a ball and they are using this injury line as an excuse
wacko Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I heard that beni didn't scout him properly and then in his first training session he discovered that our new danish cb couldn't head a ball and they are using this injury line as an excuseApparently, he has a wooden leg.

Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Well if you didn't ignore my invitation to come and see Brøndby play you would know that he can head the ball... a) sorry mate b) The story's fact.
Snakebite Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Well if you didn't ignore my invitation to come and see Brøndby play you would know that he can head the ball... cough kroldrup cough
Michael Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I would assume he's learning zonal marking and how to integrate into the back four. When he has played, he has been caught well out of position a couple of times so he needs to get used to playing in a new unit.
Dominus Maximus Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 a) sorry mate b) The story's fact. b) The story's fact. Explain please lad?
Maldini Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Apparently, he has a wooden leg.Yeah, heard that, we signed the wrong player and instead got a pirate called "Arreg"
stressederic Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Apparently, he has a wooden leg. A proper wooden leg or one like Igor's?
madaboutlfc Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 when hes played hes showed a lot of potential.. hes good on the ball and needs to be given time.. There were few idiots on radio poking fun at him for not playing against Benfica..im sick of ignorant fools
Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 b) The story's fact. Explain please lad? it's all there already
Couldbe Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I heard that beni didn't scout him properly and then in his first training session he discovered that our new danish cb couldn't head a ball and they are using this injury line as an excuse Considering we were scouting him for over a year if not more thats one heck of an oversight absolute ................
Owen1978 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Hey Crouchinho, when do u have your name change?
Guest beamso Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I heard that beni didn't scout him properly and then in his first training session he discovered that our new danish cb couldn't head a ball and they are using this injury line as an excuse Wasn't that the Kroldrup rumor regurgitated?
Ombudsam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Wasn't that the Kroldrup rumor regurgitated? sssshhhh I'm trying to create Internet myth #789 here
Nebraska Red Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 shouldn't this be titled What did Agger do do do ?
alias75 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I mentioned it when we signed him that its going to take any new defender time to get used to the defensive system we use and that would probabaly mean he spent his time learning the system in training before making reguar starts. From what ive seen of him his natural ability will get him through games now when called upon but he has been caught out a few times, i wouldnt be surprised to see him start next season instead of Sami after a full pre-season.
CarraLegend Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 yet he has been used sparringly since January. Probably because at worst we've got the 2nd best central pairing in the Premiership, i'd say its the best myself but opinion differs. Tie that in with the fact he himself said he was struggling physically and he hadnt played for 3 months before he got here then it isnt exactly a big mystery why he isnt playing is it? He's been brought here to play for us for years not a couple of months.
