Tosh Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I know some on here and Toffeeweb (or was it Bluekipper?) have got together to try and reduce animosity by playing eachother in a friendly match before the derbies I know there's always idiots both sides who ignore it/don't know or care it's going on and continue to demonise... but other than smokers coughs, waistlines, lack of fitness and all that, the reports on here seem to indicate it's actually quite a laugh Seeing as we have a few Mancs on here, and several from here post over at RedCafe... Why not do the same? YNWA vs Redcafe (or similar)
Stevie H Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 because it'd make alan smith's injury look like a paper cut.

anny road Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 why do people want to make everything in the world nice and rosey?? a bit of animosity makes going the game fun
Tosh Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Have you read the s*** on Redcafe mate? No But I imagine that it's far from flattering (from the minority) and I would also suggest that unless someone offers some sort of olive branch, the "s***" throwing and song singing could well end up being the "nice side" of this particular fixture.
DazzlaJ Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I propose a game of no holds barred british bulldog.

Andy Mac Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Now that has a high risk of going wrong !!
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 nice idea Tosh, but I think it would be a mistake the thing would be horrible, and troublemakers would turn up from both side - there'd be no busies to seperate us, and it would kick off both on and off the pitch
stressederic Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 No But I imagine that it's far from flattering (from the minority) and I would also suggest that unless someone offers some sort of olive branch, the "s***" throwing and song singing could well end up being the "nice side" of this particular fixture. If the olive branch in question is stripped and whittled down, rounded out, with an arrow head attached and launched from a bow, would it still be acceptable?
owenthomas Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 do people not enjoy getting up on the morning of the match with PMT (if it hadn't already kicked in!), having a full English with a pint (the Med in West Derby in case you's fancy it in future ), walking to the ground and baiting the caged animals passing by on their coaches by holding 5 fingers aloft and laughing at them and then getting stuck into the game and singing with a passion that goes beyond normal realms of sensibility.. its the way forward - f*** being friends with the dirty bastids..
Guest PaulMcC Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I enjoy some of the hatred around the game as well. It's great going in to the ground and thinking ''I really Hate these c***s'' It makes beating them even sweeter.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 We can also go the match with them, holding hands while carrying a box of flowers and give everyone a flower as a sign of love between the two clubs, people, and cities. They're THE MANCS FFS.
Red_Rob Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I get on with Evertonians because they're my friends and (sadly) family. I don't like Mancs.

Guest Red Mist Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Any suggestion that aims to reduce our hatred of ManUre is a bad idea as far as I'm concerned.
