New York Red Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 What he did was scandalous, falling down like a sack of sh*t. Surely if players get carded for diving, then he should get something for what he did. I'm not trying to absolve Reina. If the rules state that he gets a red for putting his hands on another player, then fair enough. But, Robben is a pr*ck for doing what he did. I really hate the Chav's, big time. One other thing, how come everyone wasn't running in to defend Reina? He was all on his own surrounded by those b*stards.
Guest Red Mist Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Our lads need to start defending their own when these sort of 'scuffles' break out. Especially Stevie since he's our captain yet whenever we've had a girly dust-up with Chelsea (nigh on every bloody meeting) Stevie's nowhere to be seen. His England mate Terry is always getting involved, Stevie (or anyone else) needs to sort the c*** out.

I think you hit the nail on the head there mate. It's like they are all best mates. It's dead wrong that they didn't defend Reina. They should have all be in there having a go. Carra should have been all over Terry for a start. You know what? We don't have a very hard team do we? No-one who likes a dust-up. First on the list for a summer transfer; buy a really hard c*nt.
floyd the barber Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 krompkamp,sissoko,garcia.........all been guilty of falling on the floor, part of the game now...better get used to it.. Trust me, in 10 years time tackling will be outlawed and players will be wearing headguards.
Romario Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 That was the thing that really pissed me off tonight. No one helped out our goalie only Del Horno as he's Spanish.Pub teams back eachother better than we do. Gerrard hides in situations like that and it's sad. Wonderful player all season but he's not got that edge you need when it counts. Not a big thing but I'd be f***ed off if I wasour goalie. Carra as well should have been in there.
Cooldude Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Simple, if Reina didn't stupidly slap Robben, he wouldn't have been given a reason to do an Oscar act

I might not have played again for another couple of years - unless in Her Majesty's colours - but it would have been worth it. I think Gerrard is far too quiet against Chelsea. He always seems subdued against them.

My only regret is that he wasn't on the pitch to level Robben or Terry at the next opportunity. Honestly I don't care if he picks up 15 bookings a season because no one messes with us when he's on the pitch.
Snoeker Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 BUY GATUSSO BUY BUY GATUSSO Seconded. With Gattuso, Xabi, Gerrard and Momo in midfield we could play 3 defenders and Kewell plus tow others up front. No one will feck with us again
Guest AnfieldGrass Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 f*** off, Gatusso is a slimy, grubby, cheating mongrel. That's all we need, start trying to win by cheating and loering ourselves to the standards we despise.
Jimi Rojo Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I don't think Reina would need any help against those girls to be honest. And as far hard man Terry - Cisse scared the pants off him at Anfield when there was no ref for him to hide behind.
floyd Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 (edited) Could of done with Jimmy Case, Ronnie Whelan or Souness in the side. In the League Cup final against Chelsea, remember when the muppets surrounded Hamann and no one went over to defend him. Edited February 6, 2006 by floyd
Guest AnfieldGrass Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 That kind of faking/play acting is a disgrace. Why the authorities in football have not done enough to stamp it out is beyond me. What kind of a soft c**k who is supposed to be a professional would resort to those kind of tactics, bloody pansy should be playing for the ladies comp. Cheats like Robben should be made to pull on a rugby jumper and then see what contact is all about. Thing is it wil lcontinue whilst it is allowed to be gotten away with, and is another screaming issue for the use of video replays and/or a video ref. Pity about the whole thing is c***s like Moaninho continue to enourage cheating through pressurising the ref, pulling shirts, diving, kicking, you name it they will try it. The culture at Chelsea is despicable, not that all that money is enough they also have to cheat? Footballers who dive, cheat, fake injury, or intentioanally look to influence play in an unfair way are losers in my mind, who will continue to do it under managers who look away (at least), and the weaklings a the FA, FIFA, or whoever are too soft to do anyting about it. Makes it embarrassing to be a football fan sometimes. What does it feel like to be a cheat Robben? You made yourself look like a right nancy boy, you should really be proud. I bet your missus thinks youre a real man hey? Why don;t you send her over my way I'll show her what it really means.
Chili Palmer Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Definatly agree, our players need to get some balls when it comes to situations like yesterday, I hate to say it but you have to look at a***, Man Utd and Chelsea and say that if one of their players get in a ruck, all the players are over helping out, whether their player is in the right or wrong. In the bigger picture its not that important but you don't want other teams to feel they can get in your face and intimidate you. Bar Finnan Momo and strangley enough 'ickle Luis our players rarely back each other up.
Bigal Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 If you are going to get sent off for raising your hand to a player, t*** him properly

This was a nothing situation that cutns like Terry turn into a spat fest. The ref surely must have seen it was a nothing slap, the state of refereeing is a f***ing disgrace in the modern game. They caim to have all this power but it's abvious they are being unduly influenced by teams looking to manipulate games. So much for football being the beautiful game. There's so much money at stake c***s like these can;t afford to lose. They can have their bought premiership but it wil lall come tumbling down when Roman gets bored and they find themselves in debt and no youth players coming through the ranks. Chelsea wil lbe a nothing team again within 10 years, if not relegated. Patience my friends.
Guest Ant Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Credit to reina he seemed he was trying to be reasonable he put his hands up and confronted the ref on his own

Exactly what I thought. Terry and, once he had big brother there with him, Gallas waded right in, but all we had was Carragher. As for Robben, I reckon he should have a yellow card added to his disciplinary record.
Beardsley Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Football is a nancy boys game these days Now, that is, unfortunaetly, too true.

Shearer stormed in and pushed Crouch and Stevie G was over like a shot defending his players, Big thumbs up for him there granted, but what was the difference between what Shearer did and what Terry and Gallas did on Pepe? Our players can't pick and choose who they defend and who they don't. As I said before its not that important but you would like to think that teamspirit is good and they are all in it together

Surely it deserves some kind of award.
