Well, he is no machine.

 

He is certainly one of the best goalkeepers in the world - especially if you consider his age.

Just goes to show you that no goalkeeper is exempt from silly errors. It happens to the best of them, and Cech is one of the best around.

Indeed. Now it's about how he reacts. He's a class keeper and I think he'll put it behind him and just get on with it.

He's definitely on a par at least with those, you're letting your hatred of everything blue cloud your judgement. Mourinho would have bought Buffon if he thought he was better than Cech.

 

Cech won the Carling Cup for Chelsea when he saved from Hamman near the end, I was right behind him when Didi shot for the bottom corner it was 2-0 good night and thanks for coming.

 

How he got down to stop it I'll never know. The c*nt!

I am one of the few who defends lampard here, so my hatred for chelsea doesn't effect my judgement.

 

cech is a quality keeper, but he is no schmiachel yet, he has a very strong defence in front of him (as does pepe), last season he was being talked about as being as the top keeper in the world on his own, which i don't think is the case.

You said in your post 'you weren't sure whether he was one of the best in the world', being No1 wasn't and hasn't been mentioned in this thread.

Cech's performance against Norway in the playoff 2nd leg is the reason the Czechs are going to the WC. He made some brilliant technical saves that night.

 

Whether he is better than Buffon, Casillas (also young), Kahn or Reina is open to debate. I think Dida is totally overhyped.
