Probably doesn't deserve it's own thread but...

Last night,I was in the main stand near the Kop.

Towards the end of normal time, some bloke behind me shouts out "Come on Kop,sing!!!"

:lol::lol:

Quite a few Atletico fans in there too,I thought. Also, gotta love the glammed-up dolly birds that showed up after about 38 minutes!!

He wasn't being a comedian,it just sums up some of the cretinous support we have where other people are expected to do it for you.

I'll keep you updated on anything else amusing that happens today.

I liked when Taylor said "one for sorrow isn't it? We'll have to look for another one. For joy."

My mate text me and said: "I keep expecting to hear the Hovis theme every time Graham Taylor starts on one of his little insights"!

the magpie was the real star of the show

that reminds me

Kev - I want a word with you

that magpie was clearly injured, couldn't fly properly and nobody did anything about it all game; what's that about? at the very least we could have had some Keystone cops HT entertainment while an army of stewards attempted to catch it and look after it til the RSPCB arrived; you had a clear view of it but did nothing

that's probably why Rafa didn't put Babel wide right when the magpie was there, and it cost us the game

Yeah,he was. Best player on the pitch.

Just realised I've included a horrendous grammatical error in the thread title.

This whole thread is a new low.

What an omen that was, I'm going to kill every f***in magpie that crosses my path from now on.

Kev mate,I'm not sure stewards killing magpies on the Anfield pitch would do much for the club's image. Might make it onto 2 Good 2 Bad on MOTD2 though.

Be great if you did it before the Newcastle home game next season.

In another amusing turn of events,a George Galloway Respect campaigner has just been leapt at by a big old Staff outside. All friendly banter, you understand, but it almost gave the poor biddy a heart attack.

Also,on the way up to the game yesterday,I saw a woman crossing Holloway Road holding a can of Special Brew. In the process of crossing the road, she threw up three times, and once on the traffic island.

A ritual sacrifice of 11 magpies in the centre circle before the game would be controversial but certainly help viewing figures.

Rodney St is good for those kind of antics up here, just outside the drug dependency centre
