Result the other day:

Georgia 0 - 2 Italy (Kaladze o.g. 57, Kaladze o.g. 67)

Would that be the AC Milan-owned Kakhaber Kaladze?

Goals:

0-1

0-2

Hmmm indeed.

An Italian fix - impossible...

Both look quite dodgy when you watch them - especially the second one.

Ha ha, about five minutes before I read this thread I was recounting to my work colleagues on a conference call I took part in last week about anti-corruption policies and laws, and at one point on this call the speaker asks (prior to putting up a slide of a top 50 table of least corrupt countries in the world) who the listeners think is the least corrupt country.

Cue a few sensible answers like Switzerland, Sweden, etc. (its Finland by the way) an Italian voice comes on and suggests 'Italy' in all seriousness. Cue people reaching for the mute button while stifling guffaws.

No, we're coming onto that slide in a minute says the host...

Its a laugh a minute in here, honest.

Ireland better not play Robbie Keane against Italy in the next qualifier, he used to play for Inter Milan and might miss a load of sitters if the bribe is right ;)

i can think of more obvious reasons not to play the pointy headed divvie

If Stephen Ireland were available for selection I wouldn't play him (Keane).

A 4-5-1 with Ming in the playmaker role would be far more balanced and solid than the 4-4-2 with two anchors in midfield.

I can see the undertaker with the tape measure now as he's lining up in the tunnel, like that Spaghetti Western bit.
