I think he heard the Rafa quitting rumour, tried to sound all in the know with 'i know something and won't tell' because when it was rubbished he quickly shut up. If it was something else he'd have been singing from the rooftops.

The big news is Rafa has resigned and Sammy Lee was in charge on Wednesday night.

In general, ex players know absolutely f*ck all.

They often try to make out they know more than they do, which leads to them regurgitating the type of crap rumours you hear everyday; because they played for the club people think that gives them credibility and get in a tizz about it.

Seriously, don't ever listen to a rumour from an ex player; unless they are still involved with the club in some official capacity then the chances are its the same rumours we're hearing from our mates etc which we laugh off.

I should think ex players are like anyone else who hears something, except maybe they hear it a little closer to home - and then things change or where never what they heard in the first place. The stuff about Rafa was always dubious to say the least though, and I can't help thinking there are a few ex-backroomers still unhappy about getting the bum's rush earlier in the summer who may have an axe to grind, or at least feel they do.

Didn't Lawrenson get it right with Keane leaving in January? Although I seem to recall it was from a conversation he had with Gerrard at some function.

Don't understand why people don't like Aldo. I don't listen to him on City, maybe thats it.

I don't mind Aldo. Despite him saying stupid things at times, he's more passionate about the club than most ex-players.

I think the reason some people don't like him is he is a proper fan and gets worked up, then tends to say over the top things during the game. If I listened to myself ranting on during the game I'd think I was a total c*nt.

Its OK to look objectively at things when you've calmed down, but at the moment one of our players does something stupid I'm sure we're all prone to giving them both barrels; its just no-one except our family and friends gets to hear it.

For that reason impartial commentators tend to be best.

Try reading your posts. Saves on the price of a ticket yet achieves the same result
