Given that the title will probably have gone by the time we kick off at the Hawthorns, anyone see a possibility we might drop a point or three? They have given themselves a glimmer of hope and we might just have switched off a little.

I still reckon we'll do them 1-2 or 1-3.

Don't see us knocking off to be honest with you. What we may see is a slightly more youth orientated bench but beyond that it'll be business as usual.

2nd makes a large difference to us in terms of champions league wedge.

Indeed. That's clearly not as much of a motivating factor for the players though is it?

If we are still in with a shout we'll win by 2 or 3. no problem. If we are out of it we'll probably still win but just with a little less margin.

doesn't it also make difference in terms of qualifying games - I'm sure Rafa will be keen to avoid as many of those as posisble.

no qualifying games for 1-3

Top 3 play 0 qualifiers so probably not.

Maybe, maybe not.

More money = better players in = it's on

Being runners-up and getting 86 points and the act of playing football and being professional should be enough in itself. The issue is more that West Brom's desire will be heightened but then again they could be essentially down by kick off in any case.

I know

But a desperate WBA are no match for us if we even remotely turn up.

Mostly because they can't defend.

there's a chance of the unthinkable because you have thought it. don't see us dropping there though, we'll do the same to them as we did to west ham. thought united's two intervening results could have an impact like.

They're f***ing crap and we always hammer them. We'll t*** them off the pitch whatever the circumstances, they are hopeless.

Trevor Brooking like with your hedged opinions

Isn't the aggregate score at The Hawthorns from our last 2 visits 11 or 12-0 or something? That's a run you want to keep going.

Haha indeed, I just realised I went a bit overboard there but they're f***ing s**** arent they? Like Newcastle they are just perfect to play against, open and cant defend.

Which is why it'd be great if they stayed up. So if by a massive long shot, they do us, it could be good in the long term.

The players are enjoying themselves and look as confident as anytime this season. Given there is just two games left I expect us to steamroller them into defeat by half-time. I fancy another 3-0. Then we can play Sami CF in our last game.

i'm not saying i want them to beat us am I. Just that if they did there could be a small plus in there somewhere.

It's not so much they'd take points off them, it's they'd send a team down (probably Hull) who we'd probably have the most difficulty breaking down next year.

You're wrong

This is from the same school of thought as "I hope Chelsea beat Barca". You were probably involved in that an all.
