Questions.

- Will it ever be used again?

- Could anyone in the current squad wear it? Gerrard plays the Dalglish role and Kuyt works hard like Keegan. Anyone else?

- Who could we buy that could wear it and meet its expectations? Ribery, Villa - are they good enough?

- Should it just be decommissioned, since it's been poisonous for those that have worn it in recent years?

Come on people. It's time to discuss the really important stuff. ;)

Give it to Ribery

I'd give it to Gerrard

Nah. If he doesn't wear the No.8 shirt then it messes up my all-time best XI team:

1. Clemence

2. Neal

3. A Kennedy

4. Lawrenson

5. R Kennedy

6. Hansen

7. Dalglish

8. Gerrard

9. Rush

10. Barnes

11. Souness

Rather than inspiring, being given the shirt just seems to weigh players down. I don't really want to see any more failed no 7s.

Ahead of Whelan?

fred milne's team is unbalanced. has two majestic left mids, a midfield general and a number 7 across the park. he's losing it.

Its supposed to be 4-3-3 with Gerrard and Kennedy either side of Souness.

The three previous wearers have been pish the minute they put it on. Lets see if the reverse can happen - give it to Voronin

Reckon Gerrard could take the hit and go wide right in this one, Fred. Alternatively you can still make a case for Whelan ahead of Kennedy.
