too me it felt that our title challenge was over by end if Jan, but the our form from dec onwards has been horrible, the last couple of months its felt like a boxer who has been dealt a few blows and is a bit shaky on his feet, and just needed a final big punch!

All that's left as far as fans concerned is to watch us do our best in the Chapions League, déjà vu, but at least we have that. The other thing we have left to do is watch the Mancs attempt to get the quadruple, sickens me that the league is in the bag for them so early.

although on the one hand I agree, I felt that if we had won today it could have been a turning point, something we could have looked back on once the league was won

 

I thought that the Valencia style machine could have kicked in today and roared in to life as Gerrard and Xabi came back rested and we played and won every game as a cup final

His tactics are largely influenced by the players available to him, those who want him judged at the end of the season should be careful what they are wishing for because in all liklihood we would end up with a far inferior manager.

There have been times when the matchday squad available hasnt meant he needed to play 2 holding midfielders at home to relegation fodder- but he CHOSE to do so.

 

Getting transfers might influence the bigger picture, but he still has a squad that is HIS to pick from.

Sorry mate, but we've actually got no chance of doing that, none whatsoever. So far, we've won 7 out of 13 at home (53%) and 8 out of 13 away (61%). There's not a cat in hells chance we'll have 100% record from our last 12 I'm afraid.

Dont think it will happen mate, the recent figures showing our financial position and the increase in the TV money is not a bad figure to use against a mortgage/loan on the club.

I completely disagree, though I dont necessarily see sacking Benitez as the only solution I could guarantee you that if he did leave there would be no shortage of world class managers willing to take the gig

 

Whether Hicks and Gillett could ever agree on a successor is another point

 

oh and this argument that Benitez has been deprived of a decent transfer budget is just not credible, or valid, Benitez isnt a sign your edge of the seat type player person. He buys functional grafters who follow instructions in the main

Sorry mate, Rafa has a part to play in this. It's his squad now. An awful lot of his signings are piss poor.
