He had loan offers in the summer and turned them down IIRC.

Strange that it's only a month unless Rafa sees it as a way of getting him match fit and get some 1st team experience and then sees him as a first team option after that.

He did and i thought at the time he should have taken a loan move. Will be good for him to get first team experience, in front of a decent crowd (compared to the reserves) and will also give Rafa etc a chance to see if he can make the step up to first team football. Will be interesting to see if he lives up to the hype around him (amongst Liverpool fans anyway)

He's far from the finished article but the potential is certainly there. Let's hope he's one that can step up, we need to start bringing a few given all the money we are spending on youngsters.

The thing that concerns me is that over the years very few youngsters who go out on loan ever get a chance. They usually end up in a lower division or back to their home country. I would have loved to have seen him on the bench and given a chance to get the odd 15 minutes here and there. Hopefully this kid can be an exception.

Yeah, but over the years (last 10 at least) we've been s*** at producing young players.

doh...always the death of the youngster..you go out on loan, and there goes your career at anfield.

 

I can only think of maybe 1 or 2 who went out on loan and actually made the grade at anfield..
