Best supported club in the world, didnt sell out their European Cup final allocation.

muppets

I can't believe I'm going to stick up for them. However it's only on the issue of the European Cup final tickets. There were quite a lot of people on this board who were saying if we got to Moscow they weren't going to go because of expense, Russian police, hassle, concerns of trouble etc.

Villareal tickets are still on open sale

christ, you'd think they would sell out to welcome back Mr Hotpants to the team and cheer (obviously after the usual anti-Liverpool chants) his name like nothing at all happened.

times are getting tougher, people tightening their belts im sure, plus do you really think that if anfield had another 30,000 seats that it would be sold out for every game.

Shouldn't have built your ground so big then should ya?

For the return of Placcy in a CL qualifier against decent opposition having lost the previous two games on the bounce? Yes - I would.

A manc in work reckons that loads of their season ticket holders didn't renew this season, as a response to the increased ticket prices and compulsory cup ticket scheme.

first home european game as European Champions

f*** off

Exactly, I took a day off work to go to the TNS game because I wanted to be at Anfield for our first game as European Champions.

Part time f***ing fans.

knew thered be those saying stuff like that...

but hey lets face it we'll more than likely never know if you could fill a 76,000 seater week in week out...its all just conjecture in your case. :cooler:

just spoke to a Manc in work who is holding out for Old Trafford to be converted to 100k seats as then he 'might' have a chance of getting a ticket for a match

Asked him if he was going to the Villareal game and he said he can't get a babysitter. I then had a dig about it not being a sell out and he blamed it on being a midweek game  but he was sure it will sell out eventually.

I can understand why some people can't make it - it's fecking expensive and you don't have the normal hoards of weekend daytrippers to pick up on the excess tickets

the compulsory cup scheme is a bit shyte too

It's your first game in Europe after winning the European Cup, it's a disgrace that it's not sold out.

Just to add 44760 came to see us play TNS when we won the cup in 2005.

Girl who sits opposite me at work did just that

Mind you, on Friday she thought our game was at OT not Anfield...

and that stops the point about it being pure conjecture as to whether you could fill 76,000 every home game being valid?

just cause you tell me you would doesnt mean its true...and as i said we'll probably be waiting a good while before we ever find out...if we ever find out.

I didn't say we would.

I'm infinitely more qualified to comment on this, or any other footballing issue for that matter than you.

I reckon that you should stay in the genny and when you want to talk about football, go and talk to some other no mark in your office who equally doesn't give a f***. There's a good lad.
