cymrococh Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...080904-0930.htm REVEALED: YOUR SECOND PL TEAM Newcastle are the most popular 'second team' among Liverpool fans, according to our online poll. A total of 12.2 per cent who took part selected the Magpies as their next favourite team in the Barclays Premier League. Arsenal were close behind with 12 per cent, followed by Tottenham with 10 per cent. The least picked side was Bolton, with Middlesbrough, West Brom, Stoke and Wigan also struggling.Never mind the bizarreness of having a second team, does this mean that more people voted for Man Utd or Everton than West Brom? I'm hoping the 'least-picked' means that no-one voted for the mancs or the blues. Edited September 5, 2008 by Paul Caruso
fyds Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 famous for our sense of humour Same as you - I've never understood this 'second team' thing...unless it's the Ressies.

San Diego Red Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 f***ing hell mate, I thought Rafa had been sacked or something with that bloody thread title. Was bricking it for a moment.
hideNseek Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Bet if it was from any league Celtic would be second.
stonty Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I must admit I do have a soft spot for the mancs,... The Everglades!
Benitez Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Bet if it was from any league Celtic would be second. 2nd last after the Blues****. Having a 2nd team is a strange concept, but then for Newcastle and Arsenal to be the most popular, even stranger.
Gunga Din Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 anyone who has a second team is a c***. FACT
fyds Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 anyone who has a second team is a c***. FACT Testify, brother!

David Hodgson Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Bet if it was from any league Celtic would be second. What about all them proddies on the Kop ? Are we foregtting the halcyon days of the 'Rangers- Celtic' chants ?
David Hodgson Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 anyone who has a second team is a c***. FACT Yep. Just a fact of life.
Bo Benn Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 on a similar notes, I also hate British people whose first team happens to be from Spain/ Italy Kinda like Swedish people supporting a team from England...
Boca Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I have a 2nd team. Sunderland. Are you serious?
Anfield Fox Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I think by second team they mean who do you enjoy watching on TV if Liverpool aren't playing (other than the obvious Utd, Chelsea or Everton and seeing them loose.)
Guest Ant Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I have a team whom results I always look out for and that is Leicester City, not that I follow them week in week out I just like to see them do well....
Hassony Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Kinda like Swedish people supporting a team from England... no its different, you don't have a proper league in sweden BTW Do you support a swedish team?
Hassony Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I have a team whom results I always look out for and that is Leicester City, not that I follow them week in week out I just like to see them do well.... any reason for that? I wasthe same with Sheff Utd, no idea why, but since they appointed Robson there I started to want them to lose, now that he has gone I just don't care

I wasthe same with Sheff Utd, no idea why, but since they appointed Robson there I started to want them to lose, now that he has gone I just don't care I used to live there for a few years and went to a few reserve matches when I was in the Scouts/Cubs what ever the hell it was...
