Brought off early last night against City reserves..................plans for the weekend perhaps ?

Really, really hope so.

He looks easily a class above everyone else in reserve team football and the weekend looks a good opportunity to get him on the bench for a home game.

Nemeth didn't feature at all for the ressies on Monday in the Liverpool Senior Cup.

It was pretty much a full strength side - Insua, Huth, Spearing, Darby, Plessis all played.

With injury worries over Crouch & Voronin and Torres likely to be rested, will he get his chance at Fulham?

Hope he gets a run out. Of all the games remaining this season you'd have to think that was the most likely one for him.

A stunning free-kick from Gerardo Bruna was the highlight of Liverpool Reserves 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the second round of the Lancashire FA Canterbury Senior Cup on Thursday afternoon.

Craig Lindfield and Jordy Brouwer scored the other goals for Gary Ablett's league champions and the Reds will now meet Accrington Stanley in the semi-final at the Kirkby Academy on Monday, April 28.

Liverpool team: Hansen, Kelly, Darby (Irwin 45), San Jose (Spearing 45), Huth, Ayala, Flynn, Pacheco, Brouwer (Plessis 74), Lindfield, Bruna.

We also invite you to watch highlights of the Liverpool Senior Cup semi-final online when Ablett's side beat Prescot Cables 1-0 thanks to a brilliant goal from Spanish ace Daniel Pacheco.

Nemeth, Insua and Plessis not involved
