Rory Fitzgerald
Most sections of the media following Tuesday praised the quality of the game. However, as we all know, it appears that Arsenal have been winning some plaudits mainly from TV pundits - havent seen too much in the paper but a very interesting fact that hasnt been highlighted is this. Arsenal were ahead 3 times in the tie 1-0 at the Emirates1-0 at Anfield2-2 at Anfield The managed to keep those leads for 3 mins, 17mins and 1mins - thats a total of 21mins that they were ahead for in the whole 180 mins in the tie. Liverpool on the other hand were effectively ahead in the tie from the 26th min in the 1st leg to the 13th in the second leg, then again from Torres's goal to Adebayors and from Gerrards penalty onwards. Thats a total of 96 mins. Think about itLiverpool ahead for 96minsDraw for 63minsArsenal ahead for 21mins When you think about it, for over half the tie we were ahead, 4 times longer than Arsenal. Thats something for pundits to think about but also shows the power of our team that it took us no time to bounce back from falling behind 3 times !! Sion
But don't they get some sort of extra points for passing the ball a bit more? no? well that's shocking, Bright will be outraged.

Rory Fitzgerald
Resiliance - we are a machine ! I have been thinking about this quite a bit. I posted a thread here but didnt really back it uphttp://www.ynwa.tv/forum/index.php?showtopic=136768 vs Porto - scored vital goal with 14mins to go - in the end 3 scored in last 14minsI am dismissing Besiktas because that game was over early vs Inter - 2 vital goals in last 6minsvs Arsenal - 1 vital goal and 1 to polish it off in the last few minutes In 2005, we nailed teams early - now we are doing it late, great sign of stamina ! You are taking the thread a bit too seriously mate - try take a small positive from it that when we fell behind we bounced back so so swiftly, 3 times ! Add to that, we never wilted as fast as Arsenal and showed great resiliance. Its nice to know that if the early Anfield factor doesnt win the game, we have showed great character to win the game late on.

In the last two home games of the CL we have scored twice in the last five minutes.
fyds
The thing about our lot is they don't give up. They keep going until it's actually, categorically finished. Arsenal seem to lack that. Heads don't drop, they say 'f*ck you' and go at it that bit harder.
Jonesy15
Part of this resilience might be down to THAT night in Istanbul? It might also say something about rotation keeping the players fresh.
