was outstanding tonight, in the first half inter had 2 chances where Reina made 2 vital saves....the 2nd..with a stunning reaction save from only a couple of yards out..who knows what would`ve happened if that had gone in..

 

Easily our best keeper since Clemence....and at this rate, he might overtake him..

 

Hes certain to win the golden glove or whatever its called again!..for the 3rd season running

 

hes overtaken Cech(who doesnt seem the same since his head injury) for me as the best keeper in england.....and surely is up there if not better than Casillas.

Some bell end doing commentry on the barnsley Chelsea game at the weekend said that Cudicini is the second best Goalie in the PL only behing Cech and would walk into any of the other top 3s first team. amazing.

i've been thinking about that lately, we have got a good case (being as it's quite subjective) for having the best midfielder (gerrard) best defensive midfielder (masch) best goalie (pepe) and best striker (torres) in our team. Add to those Carra, Agger, Alonso.... then you've got a team that is sorely let down by a few positions and isn't far away from being amazing.

 

Still some building to do, but the future looks bright.

no, i'm not too young for Clem, but baring in mind the team Clem had in front of him, and the fact that Pepe has a better record in terms of goals conceded, as well as having to deal with a ball that moves about all over the place, i honestly reckon Pepe is the best keeper we have ever had.

And that's as good an argument as anyone will make, so even though I still think comparing players between eras is utterly futile, I will say no more. I just hope we win as much with Pepe as we did with Clem. :-)
