Barcelona? Talking to someone else about a manager's job whilst the present manager is still in place?

That's disgraceful, that's their season finished.........

And they have a manager who has been openly looking at leaving and having a year off since before last seson

On a side note, did anyone see the penalty that Barca were awarded last night?

f***in worst decision you will ever see. I think I would have punched the referee and lino for giving that.

But can he adapt and make them play attractive football? I don't think he would be too popular if he continues with his effective but dull football at Barca. They want more then just points there.

His Porto side played decent stuff, I think he had an idea about power and pace in the PL and based it around Drogba as opposed to Deco.

I don't understand the rep Mourinho has for 'dull football' He sets his teams up with a goal threat from all over the pitch. Both wide players bomb forwards and one central midfielder is always looking to get up and take shots at goal. His teams are direct and don't play 'pretty' passing moves but they batter the opposition in 9 games out of 10 and are good value for their wins.

He was right about power and pace. He laid the template for Fergusons current Man U in some ways. Strong and tough all over the park, lightning when they break forwards and direct.

I would agree, they weren't hoofers, but mixed it up! played it on the deck and the occasion long/direct ball into drogba. They had a good mix, thats why they were unstoppable at one point.

It's because they relied on other teams making mistakes to score goals rather than creating chances from nothing. I wouldn't say dull, just functional.

Cruyff continues' vetoing 'Mourinho despite his insistence on clocking

The technician continues to divide the barcelonismo Portuguese, but the 'contras' weigh much more than the' pros'

Mourinho is not a technical like to Cruyff

José Luis Carazo

Today Jose Mourinho will not come to FC Barcelona. The refusal of Johan Cruyff, a very influential person within the president Joan Laporta, the possible recruitment of Portuguese coach him closing the door to lime and singing.

Despite the insistent pressure from some media and some sectors within the board to identify Mourinho as a technician ideal to replace Frank Rijkaard for the next season, the position of Joan Laporta remains adamant at the time to veto the former coach of Chelsea.

It seems that within the directive is the vice president Ferran Soriano the main valedor Jose Mourinho to occupy the bench blaugrana. The management appreciates especially its methods of training and work, his leadership and its easy adaptation to a club that already knows in his first as the second stage of Robson and later as an assistant to Van Gaal.

However, Mourinho to opposing voices within and outside of the club are also many. The main and more weight has is the philosophy of practicing Mourinho-game defensive and conservative, light years away from playing offensive and happy to have its imprint on the club blaugrana times since Rinus Michels. In addition, these same voices stress that lead to Porto or Chelsea is not the same as managing a club as complicated as Barcelona. Not only because of its environment, but also by the 'cracks' inside clothing blaugrana. We must not forget that Mourinho took over direct confrontation with Andrei Shevchenko leading to the 'Blues' to make a painful season last year.

Moreover, in the event that recalara Mourinho at Barcelona should give a 180 degree change in the policy of transfers of the club as well as the players of the current workforce, as many would be unable to adapt to the new philosophy game 'Mou'. We must not forget that the tycoon's Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, gave a blank check to fichara all players who would like to make a champion Chelsea, which in any case crashed over and over again in the Champions, The great objective of Abramovich.

It must be remembered, the same sources indicate that if now criticizes resultadista Rijkaard for his game, what would happen then with the game racanería imposed by Mourinho in all clubs he addressed?

His Porto side played nice football? Do me a favour. They played in a very similar way to Chelsea - a very solid defence, a target man, pace out wide and a large dosage of cheating, diving and cynicism.

I always thought he'd go to Spain. I don't think he'd want to go anywhere near the Italian league as the game there is more tactical, players are more intelligent. He'd be found out a little.
