Stevie likes a supportive arm around him, and encouragement but he also wants to win medals.

 

If he could find a manager that gave him both then he probably wouldn't be too upset.

This isn't about being a "natural supporter" of the manager

 

Gerrard is not stupid, whatever other flaws he may have. He knows that if Rafa goes his best chance of winning a league title goes with him.

 

Gerrard turns 28 next month.

His birthday is sometime in May or June, but point taken. I still think Rafa should get a number two if only to play the hugging role for those players that need/want it.

I see Kev has posted a comment under that article:

 

Well I for one wont shed a tear when Rafa goes, his childish behaviour shows his total lack of intelligence and respect for our club. If you're not happy with the boss or your job, you don't sit in the corner and mop, refusing to talk, you either stand up tall and tell them honestly that things need to change or get out the way and let someone else do the job... properly!

Their other Liverpool article today, courtesy of Don Howe, starts with "Torres would be good if he could finish", and then finished with "Mascherano is technically poor".

Don Howe was a great coach back in the day,now he's a senile old duffer.

Torres' goal count this season proves he can finish.He's no Van Nistelrooy,granted,but he brings so much more to the game other than finishing.

As for the Mascherano comment,it's just b******s.

Don Howe was a terrible coach, just one that somehow got into the England set up and proved difficult to shift.
