New York Red Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Would that be a good move for us? He seems to be one of the best new talents to come through in England since Rooney in my opinion. Would it be worth spending 15 million+ for him?
Gunga Din Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 and do what with Carra or Agger? neither of those 3 are gonna be happy sat ona bench. Richards woyuld cost a lot more than £15mil anyway. there are other areas thatneed stregthening first, i.e a left back and two wingers
hideNseek Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 We should break the bank for a creative winger.
Stevie H Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 We should break the bank for a creative winger.name two or three.
Guest chabby Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 A strong, creative second striker to compliment Toggsy is all I want. I don't subscribe to this myth about needing wingers. The last few title winners, and current league leaders, are all doing fine without traditional wide-men.

Not unlike Rafa's plans for Heinze. He's definitely is getting dusted by Drogba today but he's got loads of potential and he's still just a kid.
Guest chabby Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 We need the missing piece of the jigsaw... Seriously, though, we have the team, it all comes down to whether they want it enough.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 name two or three.Kaizer'll name you one 6-0 to Chels at the mo btw...
alias75 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 (edited) Id be tempted to look at Woodgate, im sure he wont be happy in a relegation fight and the state Boro are in this season they could easily get relegated. We've already seen this season that we need backup for that position, no offence to Carragher but we need to start thinking now about his long term replacement, and in a year or two he could take the Hyppia role. As for Richards if we could get him for 15 million id do it, hes one of those players that will be around for the next 10 years at the very highest level, he may be over rated but hes still very good, and is only going to improve on his weaknesses. Like Rooney hes one of those players thats virtually no risk. Edited October 27, 2007 by alias75
Hassony Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 name two or three. C ronaldo, a cheeky bid to unsettle him
Guest chabby Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 We're being heavily linked to Pandev from Lazio. Just the type we need, in the Tevez/Rooney mould. Dirk is a great worker but he's not creative enough on that role.

Has only started one of two games for his team in Denmark, so I think he's pretty far from being ready for the Prem just yet.
San Diego Red Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 (edited) The only player we should "break the bank" for is David Villa. Him and Torres up front would be catastrophic to even the best teams. Edited October 27, 2007 by Vorokin'
stonty Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Don't think I could stand his gay Bambi leap when he takes throw on.

Him and Torres up front would be catastrophic to even the best teams.on paper that sounds good, but Anelka would cost a fraction of what D Villa would cost and be just as effective playing with Torres
