I still haven't watched the video of that night. Thinking I might do so at about 8 pm tomorrow night. I haven't been able to bear the thought of seeing some other team in any other sport lifting a trophy, as I havent seen any team do that since that night.

 

I never thought we would win it and accepted our fate after the first goal.

I was really down after that match. I didn't feel confident before the match but when I saw the way we were playing I started to believe. Then when that c*** scored just before halftime I began to think it just wasn't going to be our night. When Gerrard missed that chance it seemed like the nail in the coffin.

 

I reckon Rafa will get us to another Final though if he stays for a few more years.

i havent watched it, i was so dejected about the whole thing i tried to blank it out after the final whistle. the whole night of the final, the game, the trying to get into the stadium, the s*** seats where you couldnt see the first 10 yards of the pitch. i'm just pretending the whole thing never happened.

I've not watched it since. And I've never watched the presentation after the match, I just couldn't. Still bugs me when I watch CL programs when they end the intro with Maldini lifting the cup.... it could've been Gerrard.

My memories of that night were the hunting round for a ticket for my mate..

Me finding out my seat was smack bang in the middle of the Milan fans behind the goal. Walking back out and spotting a Milan fan going into the neutral section so I swapped tickets with him....

 

Highlight of the night was the applause we got from the Milan fans when we sang YNWA at the end...

I too deleted it off the sky box without watching it.... its one game I could happily never watch again.

I haven't seen any of the game, any highlights, any of the presentation etc. since I turned the TV off at the final whistle.

 

If there any highlights on of the final, I turn the channel until it's finished.

 

I was annoyed about the whole thing for a good month - more or less until the Torres stories looked like they had some substance. I think what really angered me about ultimately losing was that we deserved to win the final.

 

I don't think I'll ever watch any part of the game/presentation again.

I have a Kodak FUN camera (forgot my camera), bought in a kiosk near Syntagma Square, that I couldn't bring myself to get developed. It was my first European final and, even if we lost, it was something special for me. I've never watched any replays/highlights myself, so maybe it's time I got over it too...

Same here. Haven't watch it since I came back from Athens. I really didn't think we'd win, the fact that we hadn't won a game when the ref had been in charge was the omen that tipped the balance for me.

 

Had a good time in Athens on the day but after that it was a nightmare.

I was out in Asia a few weeks back and they had a full rerun of the game on so I dipped in and out of it.

 

We should have won, as Milan should have in 05, but I'm over it now. With Benitez in charge it won't be long till we see ourselves on that stage again, even if it isn't this season.
