There are TWO reasons why England is doing well

A) FAT BOY LOONIE IS NOT PLAYING

B) FAT FRANK IS NOT PLAYING

Generally speaking, England are always strongest in September

Why September? Is it cos players are fresh?

I think that's been generally assumed to be the reason. There have been exceptions, though. Didn't England lose to Norway in September - or was that October (1981?)

But will 23rd choice steve have the balls to leave Waynetta and fat boy out of the next game....

A big test for him. We've got balance now and it's obvious how much Owen likes playing with Heskey and the benefits. Rooney and Owen just don't go together and you can't argue that Rooney is particularly prolific in his own right

2 wins in a row hardly constitutes England doing well. Had Russia not been cheated out of an equaliser, we may not have won the other night. Lets see if we're still doing so 'well' after playing Croatia at home and Russia away.

Are you talking about the goal ruled out for handball? If so, that was the most obvious handball I've ever seen. Not deliberate, but he definitely controlled it with his arm.

If by arm, you mean chest, then I completely agree. Or perhaps he has an arm growing out of his chest.

it looked like an arm to me, debatable decision that could have gone either way really

england have done very well in these last two games, but they usually do when Owen is fit and on form

Just looked at it again, no way is that his chest. His arm moves back from the impact.

Which replays? BBC?

Yeah, I think so. They were showing it at half time
