Hate to stick my neck out but I really do think he should start at Derby...

His Composure

His Ability

He will only get better

Thoughts?

He was OK. Didn't see much of the ball after the first half hour and look knackered in the second half.

Not got huge hopes for him really.

Babel should start against Derby. Leto looks like he knows what it is to play left mid but Derby will come and sit back and that bit of extra quality and acceleration could make all the difference.

Wont be in the squad nevermind on the pitch

Lucas looked far readier for the first team than Leto. But it was a hard match to make any judgemetns either way

Carling Cup, coming on if and when we're two or more up in the CL group stages, coming into the PL matchday squad when there are two or three injuries on the left. I think that's where he's at for at least this season

Looked ok early on, faded quickly. He wasn't up against the worlds best full back either.

Now that Baros has gone, it looks like we've found a new throw-in winner.

Thought he looked good for 15 minutes but tired quickly.

lots of stepovers - surely that won over some of a certain element on here?

thought he looked OK for a 20yr olds first game at Anfield.

bit of patience and I think he wil come good.

now, Lucas on the other hand, we've got a live one there. :)

With Riise at LB whoever plays LM is fecked as he never passes 'em the ball, sure he does it intentionally as he wants the position for himself :hmm: . In contrast it seems that however plays down the right links up really well.

As for Leto early days although it was good to see both him and Lucas get an outing...

Must admit I noticed that last night.

Thanks Eskimo. Didn't want to be the first to say it but Riise did Leto no favours whatsoever last night (but off the same logic he wants to play centre mid. And up front) and we were having so much joy down the right that play just kept going that way first half.

Glad its not just me who thinks this....When Kewell plays its altogether different as he being a senior player and wont hold back from giving him an earful, something a youngster is less likely to do. He fecked Gonzalez, who next Leto, Babel? Play Alvaro or Fabio, when fit, and I think our lef hand side will start to work just as well as the right.

Think it's a security thing, plus Kewell's better at making himself a bit of space. But Riise's passing isn't his strong point and therefore if he doesn't feel secure with his player ahead he looks to give it inside or send it which immediately takes that player out of the game.

Gonzalez wasn't good enough, to try and blame Riise for that is utterly ridiculous.

He was excellent before he came here and played with Riise :hmm:
