Diouf eyes Bolton exit

Senegal forward wanted by five clubs

By Lewis Rutledge Last updated: 20th August 2007

Diouf: Valued at £10m

El Hadji Diouf is eager to leave Bolton and join a club with UEFA Champions League ambitions.

The Trotters are currently bottom of the Premier League table with no points from three games and Diouf has already vented his frustration this season after being left out of the starting line-up for the defeat to Newcastle.

The Senegal forward claims he is wanted by five clubs but he is keen to consider his options and make the right move.

Tottenham, Celtic and Lyon have all been linked with Diouf and the 26-year-old is keen to go to a club involved in Europe's premier club competition.

But Diouf is also aware that it could be difficult to secure a quick transfer as Bolton value him at £10million.

He explained: "I have five clubs who want me but I don't want to go for going. I want to go to somewhere where I will be happy.

"But Bolton want a lot of money for me. They are asking for £10million.

"I want to play in the Champions League or with a club that wants to be there next season."

Firstly: Hate him so much...

Secondly: £10m pounds. TEN MILLION POUNDS. If someone pays that for El Hadji f***ing Diouf I think I might lose the will to live. He wasn't worth it the first time round what the hell has he done at Bolton to increase his value that high! We got £7m for Bellamy and at least that little prick has scored goals everywhere he goes!

Thirdly: Who are these five clubs who are interested in him, and more importantly are any of them Everton, Newcastle or Leeds. I think having Diouf move to one of those would allow me to focus most of my hatred in just one direction.

Fourthly: hate him so much...

+ Ostrich Man having to support him would be funny.

Actually better than that, United have been linked with a striker at Bolton. Everyone's been assuming it was Anelka, but you never know...

it would nearly be as bad as having to support craig bellamy for your club and country.

Or Roy Keane. :cold:

Diouf has never been a goalscorer, I cant believe we wasted all that money on him back in 2002, and more disturbing is all the people that actually thought he would be great for us based on what they did see in the World Cup.

All I did see was a lot of tricks and no end product to be honest.

i could see him going to Everton

I'd love him even more if he did that. Seriously. I'd love him and then the week before, during and the week after the derby I'd hate him with such a passion you could use me as a renewable energy source, I could be f***ing cited in a Kyotoesque treaty but then I'd love him again. I think he's brilliant.

go get him rafa

Only this would please me more. I'd love a bit of Dioufy to play left and right mid.

In short I want him back on Merseyside, I want another picture on my phone with Dioufy and a stripper and I want to love him and hate him even more than I do now. YES!
