Jezzman Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 If the top 3 consists of 'The big 3': Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea, who do you think will take 4th to 7th place? My guess: 4. Spurs5. Arsenal6. Newcastle7. West Ham

Stevie H Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 without tevez they would be no higher thn 10th at most, can see them struggling again this seasonshould be fun though if they get anelka and dyer. throw in bellamy and ferdinand and that's some great egos for cuddly little al curbishley to manage.
growler Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 its quite tough to call. Will the big spenders of Newcastle, portsmouth, Man City, Villa, west ham do anything, or will they need another season? The window still open and another month to go, its tough to call. (villa there with an american owner and so potentially will spend more money yet) Then you got the bitters, Bolton, blackburn who always do well too. Just glad its arsenal and not us who will be under pressure from the chasing pack this time.
John am Rhein Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 380 football matches will have a bearing on the outcome

Don't forget Lee Bowyer, Dyer's best mate. Curbishley has his man-management work cut out I reckon.
deacon Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Villa will be in the mix this season. They were playing some really good stuff towards the end of last season.

John am Rhein Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Liverpool, Villa and Man City to be the biggest improvers this season
Knox_Harrington Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I have no idea what Arsenal are going to do.
sutty Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I have no idea what Arsenal are going to do.There was an interesting thing on sky the other day (fast and loose with interesting) when they were talking about the fact that the top 4 was a closed shop and there being a perception that Arsenal might be vulnerable. He then went to list the challengers for 4th places and they included Man City and Newcastle. :s
yellow jumper Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 (edited) I have no idea what Arsenal are going to do. no. could go either way with them. suspect they might improve if they can keep their best XI fit. spurs look like they'll score goals, and have a dcent defence. think their midfield is still a bit lightweight for them to really make an impression though, and not sure jol has the nous to make a difference in tight battles. it'll be a closer league. not feeling paticularly confident that our place in that top three is particularly nailed on without a drastic improvement in away form.
