How do you figure that? He's going to get plenty games in a tough league, European football, some very good players around him, and a squad growing in stature. At Man U he'd have been on the bench for most of the next two seaons

They've bought and sold very well, they can afford it. They are trying to build something, and have to work hard to hang onto players who they've produced or got in for good prices and developed, but other teams then want for big big money, such as Lennon, Berbatov, King and Chimbonda. If they dont want them all to go the way of Carrick, they'll have to compete for players like this, show intent, keep the squad together and get into the CL, which imo they're closer to than we are to winning the league.
