Victory for Wigan combined with defeat for West Ham at Manchester United would almost certainly consign the east London club to the Championship on goal difference. The Hammers' manager, Alan Curbishley, however, believes it would be unthinkable for Sheffield United to gift Wigan a win which, if West Ham drew at Old Trafford, could spectacularly backfire and send Neil Warnock's team down.

"People can get together and have these conspiracy theories but I don't think it has entered anyone's minds because it is so dangerous," said Curbishley. "I don't see any other outcome than everyone trying their hardest."

please let that happen

He's whinging about us being disrespectful to the league with the team we fielded last week, and how man u wouldn't do such a thing. Seems wednesday's team didn't count as it's only disrespectful if it is detrimental to west hams efforts.

I hope those cheating b*stards go down, I don't have anything against west hem generally, besides their fans being the most Neanderthal I have witnessed in all my aways, but generally they are quite inoffensive. But how the hell they got away without points deducted for not only fielding inelligable players, but being wilfully deceitful in the process, is beyond me. Too much influence at the FA I think.

Disrespectful, with a starting lineup consisting of

Reina, Arbeloa (played both games against Barca, so hardly 2nd choice), Sami, Pennant, Xabi, Momo & Bellamy

should complain about the non-red card

Relegated? Sheff U - every time. West Ham can feck off too - hate their baldy owner & then we can have Tevez

OK, everything else being equal

West Ham

Seffield Utd

Wigan

Who do we consign to the Championship?

Warnock's Sheffield Utd if i could pick

i see Wigan going down though

West Ham should definitely go down, as in 'ought to'. The gods have it in for Wigan, though, it would seem, with some of the little things that have gone against them this half of the season. Not least of which is the playing of crap soccer.

Aye. I'm f*cking sick of West 'Am.

If Man U are beating West Ham and clearly going to win that match, I think Sheff U and Wigan SHOULD collude to engineer a one goal Wigan win and defy the same bunch of idiots who handed down the West Ham verdict to prove it.

And the finger to that linesman who gave the Zamora(?) goal against Blackburn that Tevez stopped on the line. What cost to Blackburn? As Ingham has just said on the radio, it should be a Gang of 19 not a Gang of 4.
