Well done lads.

I was hoping you'd do this.

Win the title, do I go out and celebrate? Do I have some mates round to celebrate? Nope, I log on to a Liverpool internet forum and gloat.

You f***ing sad t***.

A great achievement, especially for a squad with obvious weaknesses, and lacking in on the pitch leaders. The manager deserves huge credit for dragging one more great season from Giggs and Scholes, for getting squad players to come in and perform above themselves, for pulling Larsson in, and for going for broke in keeping things very settled in the squad from the transfer market to the team sheet.

i agree, in essence, with this. thought last year's transfer activity (and indeed lack thereof) had left the squad overly thin and they were going to go backwards.

i'll stop short of congratulations, but credit for playing the best football this season in the league and fa cup. the disappointment of utd winning another title is tempered only by the fact that chelsea's wheels are looking decidedly rickety after their season.

surprising after all the problems that Chelsea had that they were still up there till the death.....Man Utd had some amazing decisions go for them this season really and do not really have that great of a squad. Ferguson should get alot of credit as usual. Even though it's been said time and time again and many have been proved wrong, I can't honestly see Man Utd winning the title next season. Bear in mind that I did predict last season that Man Utd will win this season when everyone laughed me off and also that Chelsea would have won it the previous two seasons. I kid you not.

Largely agree with that. It does remind me a little of our 91 title win. You've no sense of a dynasty being built but of a great manager - and Ferguson is unquestionably one - getting one final fabulous season from Scholes and Giggs.

isn't it about time you started predicting an LFC title then? :hmm:

Enjoy it, where will you be on may the 23rd?

Rio Ferdinand will be proving he is a 'playa' on a "pimp my walker" type programme aimed at the over 70s market. Rooney's granny will look particularly fetching with a diamente encrusted "super-walker" with go-faster stripes.

Aye, that's me too.

Let's hope the fixture list is as kind to us next season rather than lumping derbies etc all in one early session.

Of course the manc's will only truly value how great a championship it is around 9.30 - 10pm on the 23rd of May.

On the face of it they were a little short in depth but t wasn't crazy to suggest Rooney + Ronaldo would imrpove (atleast in terms of producing for the team), Saha has played more games earlier in the season, Scholes came back, Evra and Vidic got over their initial baptism and as you say Neville and Giggs upped their game. Thats most of their side improved without a single signing. Add £15m Carrick to that and a better central midfield than O'Shea and Fletcher (which still finished above us) and they did what they had to.

They've been the best team in the country so fair play to them. They deserve it

I donj't like it mind.

He'll be sat nervously by his computer in the hope that we lose so he can come on here and gloat. A class act.

And well done to everton for pocketing a few quid in the process.

That's thirty four championships held between the big two now, let's hope we can go to Athens and make it EIGHT European Cups between us, just one short of Real Madrid.

read somewhere that the case is already over - neither Everton nor United did anything wrong. Unsurprising really.

You wrote it 'somewhere' and went back to read it?
