ordinarily Milan, without question. BUT i watched them against manure and to be honest for 60 mins i though they were sensational. There organisation, there passing between the lines and the machine like approach they brought to the game. If we face that milian in the final and its going to be very, very difficult to win number 6.

Manu got a lucky goal from rooney which has put them ahead. but in general team play, i felt milan are far superior.

i want to win the bloody thing, and on the evidence of the first game, we will have an easier job against manu.

Ironically I think we're more likely to win if Man U go through. We'll almost certainly beat them, whereas Milan might well beat us - that kind of 'payback' tends to happen in football.

On the other hand, I think it would be a better occasion if/when we play AC Milan. If we play Man U it will (rightly) be WW3.

Its practically the same milan team from 2005.. they are gonna be pissed.. and want revenge badly.

In some parrallel universe that might be the case, but on planet earth, wanting the Mancs to win at anytime is not fvckin on

Welcome to earth.. a place where people seek revenge... just making the point that Milan will be more than up for a final against us.. more so than normally. We hurt them. They are not gonna forget that.

A final against man u would be horrible on a number of levels.

Although it would be incredibly sweet to beat them in the final, to lose to them in the final would be too sickening. The idea of tens of thousands of ManU and Liverpool fans gathering in Athens isn't too exciting eiter.

The same with Chelsea... Didn't stop us there. I say Milan. Only beacuse of one thing. I refuse to lose a final against the mancs. It was bad enough when Cantona scored. Now it's the CL. If we were to lose. And that is a possibilty. I'd rather lose to Milan.

Who would you rather lose too?

It's not f***ing United.

Kaka scores - United 1 down.

Milan

I got my shot in first on the Garduian's match commentary page:

http://football.guardian.co.uk/news/matchr...2070861,00.html

Preamble Good evening. So, if you were a Liverpool fan, who would you want to play in Athens on May 23? If it is Milan, there is the glee in revelling in the fact that you are in the Champions League final while your most hated rivals aren't; then again, you'll be up against a team thirsting for revenge after your 2005 Turkish delight. If it is Manchester United, there is the appetising prospect of beating the lot from down the road and tormenting them with banners displaying your six European Cups; then again, you could also be the ones being teased to tears in Greece. I don't know. All I do know is that before I've even written anything, Liverpool fans already have a hefty chip on their shoulder. Case in point:

"Sir," begins Patrick Noctor. "1. Avoid remarks about how bad last night's game was or I promise I will mail you everyday for the next 365 telling you that Liverpool have 5, yes 5 (or even 6 come the final) European Cups compared with a measly dodgy 2.

"2. Avoid witless remarks concerning Pepe Reina's domestic luck or else I will mail you everyday for the next 365 telling you that the house robbery and gun crime rate is higher in Manchester than it is in Liverpool.

"3. Avoid staid, tired and boring comments about the difference between Utd and Liverpool or I will revert to number 1 and also included the fact that LFC are the most sucessful British club EVER.

"Looking forward to a decent football commentary for once. It may even happen." Don't you just love them.

who would you rather beat? we're liverpool ffs!

Ignoring the chest beating 'we're liverpool we'd never lose' idea I'd rather cover all options. Assuming, just for a second, their's a possibility we could lose a game I'd rather lose to Milan than Utd. If that means we don't have the possibility of beating Utd in a final then so be it.

Milan need at least two more before I even start feeling safe.

They will tire in the second half.

I want The Placcy Ronaldo and Scholes booked and Rooney sent off just in case ;)

2-0

here's hoping they don't do an Istanbul

Milan. I could deal with losing to them, the Mancs wouldn't be on for a treble, or a third European Cup and they couldn't beat us in a final.

Oh and we'd be the last English team in the Champions League. Again.
