apparantly "Murders. Hillsborough, it should have been more" were spray painted on in the middle of the night, early in the morning, and cleaned when it was spotted. it was kept quiet in an attempt to stop any trouble. just been on radio city too. anyone know anything about whether its true or not?

You'd imagine the penny would have finally dropped after that.

By pure coincidence i've just picked up a book from my shelf by the bishop and archbishop of Liverpool (as was) and I have never read this book before. "With hope in our hearts" I turned to the index to find something about the words to YNWA to add to the discussion on religion with Smithdown in the general.

Anywya, the first thing I came across was the bit about Dalglish and the funerals and how tireless he was. Reading on I came to this bit;

DEREK WORLOCK : "One young man returned home from Hillsborough in tears and completely dazed. He sat and sat and did not want to do anything. His wife put on the television set for the Reqiuem Mass from the Metropolitan Cathedral. At last something stirred in him and the Counselling Services sent him to see me some days later. He told me that some words I had used in my sermon had brought him out of that deep pit. I wondered what theological insight had proved so important. It turned out to be something much more ordinary, but realistic. I had described visiting injured fans in hospital in Sheffield and said that the Yorkshire nurses were becoming used to their patients saying ' Thanks, luv, for the bevvy.'

I only post that because I had just put the book down and then looked on the forum to see what was new and found this thread. It reminds me how I've let go of a lot of the anger that I used to have when i met ignorant mancunians who's read the sun and then tell me that we caused it. I'm not saying I don't feel any anger but its subsiding, I pity them more now for their ignorance and thats a bit of a weight off my shoulders to be honest.

Sorry for rambling on a bit.

Kahnee texted me during the game about it, I thought it was something that had happened during the game etc.

But come to think about it the police did mention something about graffiti and it never sunk in. Looking back and putting 2 and 2 together that must have been what they were talking about.

There are people in this world who are really so bitter and twisted that it defies belief. Dont understand it, never will, just know it happens. Presumably its done to offend so if you react then your letting them win

Action done was best thing why publicize it

I think it SHOULD be publicised.

If Liverpool fans did something similar I doubt it'd be kept quiet would it?

Did anyone else see "Munich 58" scrawled on one of the signs around Kirkby on the East Lancs?

They're about 900 miles out with that estimate.

read it five times and just got it. Very funny.

Scrawling on a wall and defacing a memorial are 900 miles apart also. Families don't go to random walls to mourn loved ones.

Like Macca said...The Penny surely should of dropped after Lille

Just got told that Anfield Road WAS defaced by graffiti on the Friday night.

They did not know about the Memorial.

Just seen this on the Caf. It has been condemned on there as it should be by most.

Everywhere you look nowadays you will see scum, and they support different teams. It really does suck.

The sooner I move away from this country the better.

Yes we all have our scum bags, but I would of hoped that Lille Incident would of put into some of your fans heads...

bit naive to think that though ant....to those who use it as a taunt unless they actually lose someone themselves theyll see no reason to stop.

Scumbags everywhere.

Isolated Manc fan was bombarded with Munich chants outside the ground by some naughty looking lads - at the end of dog sh*t alley that leads to the Kop. Wasn't pleasant.

How did they know he was a manc?

Why are people thinking it's Manc fans? Why on earth would Manc fans be in Anfield Road in the middle of the night...... more like some of the scummy bluenoses are the guilty ones.

cos thats what they do. one of the derelict houses on the left just as you get off the m57 onto the east lancs had mufc sprayed up the wall. its planned.
