apart from one rash challenge in the box that should`ve led to a pen, he was fantastic today for Blackburn vs the a***..

really had Walcott in his pocket the whole game, now im not saying hes the long term answer as a left bk, but on current form...is surely a better bet than Riise who has been terrible this season..

Would have been much better for us to keep Warnock,at least until the summer

Mistake from Rafa with us seemingly 100% in our efforts to get the crock lucas neill..

Hindsight is a wonderful thing i suppose..

I wonder how to judge Warnock today though. I can't help thinking that Walcott has been a big disappointment for Arsenal and if we had bought him and he had put in the same performances for us as he has so far in an Arsenal shirt, he would have been slaughtered. Admittedly Warnock did his job well, but he also, as you say, did commit a woeful challenge which should have resulted in a penalty and cost Blackburn the game.

Thats not difficult to be fair since he hasnt yet removed himself from the pocket of whatever left back he come up against first. He looks horrific.

All the while he was here Riise has been better so I dont see how that would of changed in about 4 games, he'll be a decent Prem player but never good enough to be regular for us I dont think. Riise does need to sort himself out though but Fabio is looking very good lately so im not arsed about Warnock going

its actually very rare for us get rid of a player...who then goes to be a true success with another side...

I guess this is the key words.

GH and Rafa really got him to control his aggression, made him a better & more intelligent player. But the threat of a return to diving in hard was always there and that's what he'll do at Blackburn - charge or dive in without thinking. The commitment & hardness is great to watch as a fan until the red cards & penalties start to mount up.

Brad Friedel springs to mind quite quickly.

He's been a good player no doubt, but we've not really missed out on much have we?

Wasn't really the point though was it?

The thought was which players have gone on to be a true success with another side, Friedel falls into that category easily.

True, but to be fair, he is very young and is still settling into the Premiership.
