Amazing how many people come on here when we lose compared to when we win. There's as many on here now as there was during instanbul.

It's a way to vent fury.

Been a disasterous couple of days in our season, and Rafa is to blame. Doesn't make me love LFC anyless for saying that, but it's a face we have to face.

I am more disappointed at being out the cup than the score/performance. If we had lost 1-0 to a last minute goal I would probably feel worse.

I do think if Fowler is going to start he should play against lesser Premier teams (Watford, Charlton) rather than pacy youngsters like tonight though.

Congratulations! You win first prize for the first knee-jerk anti Rafa post tonight. He played a weakened team against a weakened team. Arsenal didn't actually play all that well they just capitalised on some poor defending and goalkeeping.

rafas a young manager and i hope he's learnt a few lessons this weekend and tonight.

ie: don't make those kinds of promises again eh.

And showed just how threadbare our reserves are.

so much optimism at the start of the season, 20plus million spend on the squad that broke longstanding club records the season before. Realistically thinking we could win the league, this season for me has been more disappointing than Geds last season.

Wow, talk about revisionism, and so soon. Arsenal played their second string team and they outplayed us. In all areas, especially in the passion and motivation stakes To say they didn't play well is just simply blind and stupid.

From all the pish in the last few days, the "I promised Jerzy..." part has disappointed me the most

f*** promising people games etc, its not school footy. Play the men in form where possible or realistic

Balls.

What utter drivel.

How many would they have scored if they'd played well?

He played a weakened team a few days after getting knocked out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle. The league cup COULD have been our best chance of silverwear.

He messed up tonight.

he said that the imminent takeover would allow him to shop at the top-end of the market.

Let's hope that happens

Disapointed we lost but we have a very impotrtant game on sat at watford.

Some times you get results like this i would be more disapointed if we lost sat its only my opinion.

thats football for you i have been going to watch the reds for over 50 years now.

And you do get games like this now and again!

Baptista only had four shots on target - five if you count the penalty. If Dudek had been a tad more on his game, and our back four had turned up, it would have been a very different match

Mate, one player had four shots on target on our own patch. That says it all.

They looked good. We were drivel I agree, but they were good.

And their keeper played a blinder.

What really chaps my @rse, is that some people on here are so high and mighty. We keep hearing that Rafa knows best , kneejerk this, kneejerk that. I think Rafa is a top top manager, but clearly when it comes to the british game he is not the messiah we all thought on may 25th 2005. We have ben average almost all season apart from a handful of games. I'm not calling for his head, far from it but unless he wakes up soon then I fear we will become a laughing stock :(

Benitez, meanwhile, was left to reflect on Liverpool's second Cup defeat to Arsenal in the space of four days as Arsene Wenger's men ran out 6-3 winners.

He said: "It's a bad night for us and all we can say is sorry to the supporters.

"Now isn't the time to point the finger or look to blame people. We win together and we lose together.

What was the booing at half time, was it aimed at the team, Rafa (as was suggested in the interview afterwards, or as I thought at the time the refs decision on the 4th goal.

when we beat someone like Watford at home - can those who suggest it's like watching Rafa's Valencia also get some of that valium?
