I'd be reasonably happy with that.

More than reasonably, f***in ecstatic more like.

I'd be gutted, Defoe is the most over rated striker ever. Fact.

He's scored 4 goals away from White Hart Lane since we won the Champions League. Not good enough.

There is another story in one of the tabloids saying aston villa want bellamy for around 7 million ,either way for arguments sake if we do want rid of bellamy then we will get our money back ,we have a player who won't lose value as someone will always be willing to take a risk on him.

We can't sell Bellamy in January, not to an English club anyway.

Liverpool After Clarke?

By Aston - November 26 2006

According to reports in one of this mornings tabloid newspapers Liverpool will try and sign Billy Clarke in January.

Clarke is currently contracted to Town until 2009 so if the rumours are true it should take a lot more then the £1.6million Liverpool are currently reportedly ready to offer.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks has said that no player will need to be sold to raise funds in January and they will be sold for footballing reasons only.

Just reading the story now. Apparently Bellamy is the 'pacy left sided player' that Jol is looking for.

Okay then.

Story from Steve Stammers, whose Dein's bitch at Arsenal, who worked for the Standard, and now basically writes 40% of the stories that go into the Sunday Manc. His left sided comment was a good one, suppose though, when youv'e got your head stuck up the arses of the clubs in the south, why pay any attention to the dirty Northeners

i'd swap Bellamy for Adi Akinbiyi. Bellamy is f***ing hopeless, and way way out of his debt at Liverpool

f*** me wayne the lad has hardly played

If you watched a video of Defoe's greatest goals, you would think he was one hell of a player.

However the fact is that Defoe only turns on the magic occasionally, and in most games he is a waste of space.

If Defoe was that bloody good, he would be starting more frequently for Spurs! I certainly wouldn't swap him for Bellamy. I think we are yet to see the best of Bellamy, he has started poorly but his track record is good and he will get his form back.

Rather than the erratic Defoe, I would prefer a striker who scores consistently. Darren Bent at Charlton is a good example. Playing for a team at the bottom of the table, he doesn't get too many chances, but he doesn't waste many of the chances he does get.
