Who needs the media to s*** stir?

Stevie had a great game, but Rafa is the boss.

What the f*ck!!! If he plays badly he's making a point to the manager, if he plays well he's making a point to the manager. Cut out this nonsense!

When? Tonight or last weekend?

I think he's so insistent on proving it to Rafa that Rafa got a bit of a sneaky one in by paying PSV to injure Pennant and Gonzalez so he's short of widemen.

He played badly in the middle on Saturday, what point was he making then?

Unless it looked different on the tv compared to being there, i thought yet again we were lacking in midfield. Must be stevie in the middles fault. Crap first half and yet again too much posession given away by ME ME ME. So to answer yer question, when he and ALL the other players actually start playing as a TEAM we might actually get somewhere.

ha!

If so, he should have made an effort to make that point earlier....or?

I'd like to make a point.

You are chitstirring.

Which, and this is another point, is a really odd thing for a Liverpool fan to do, having had to put up with this tedious nonsense already for months.

Agreed. At the game (Can't comment what it looked like on telly) we looked lightweight in the centre at times - good goal (Made by Kuyt) but the team need to improve together - still you can't complain about our home form - we're tremendous - just need to tranlsate that into away victories as well

He scored a great goal, but his overall play was very patchy I thought. No better than when he plays on the right

Totally agree that his form was patchy last night I was even making the point to someone whilst at the game. You could tell the effort was there. Seemed like initially all crosses and shots were falling to his left foot and it was going wrong. On the positive side though some good chasing back and a good finish for the goal though and you can see he is getting gradually better. I genuinely dont think he has struggled cos of where he played I think its just a form thing.

Of course it is. It's not even in question.

Just some thick bashtards (aka the sky media, gutter press, and the beaut that started this thread it seems) don't like that simple, logical answer, cos it doesn't make for good chitstirring and slagging off opportunities against the manager.

For me the whole debate about Gerrard on the right would have been academic had Pennant stepped up right from the start of the season. Then Rafa would either have changed his formation to accomodate Momo, Alonso and Gerrard, or dropped Alonso for his distinctly poor early season form.

Of course that's no guarantee that he wouldn't have put Gerrard on the left to solve that problem position.
