Romario Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 They could really get a hiding tonight. More importantly they could lose a good few points over the coming month or so. Is this good for us or is it a bitter pill to swallow with ManU leading the pack?
Andy @ Allerton Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 8-0 to Barcelona! I'm recording it with Telewest Digital TV
Extraordinary Swindle Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Hilario shipped 4/5 goals in one Champions League game for FC Porto against Man Utd a few seasons back. If the Barca players can cut Chelsea open then it could well be the end of their quest for the trophy this season and it's not even November yet. Not wishing to put the mockers on it, I'll give it the Newcastle's Steve Harper treatment... "Henrique Hilario is the third best keeper in the Premiership (at Chelsea FC)." There I can't give him a better endorsement than that.
Gilps Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 If the Barca players can cut Chelsea open then it could well be the end of their quest for the trophy this season and it's not even November yet. Could it b******s. They could lose both games against Barca 10-0 and they'll still favourites to get through the group, having already beaten Werder Bremen. Cudicini'll be back soon enough.
The Hitman Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 His name just leaves him open to so many tabloid headlines...

Their victory over Werder Bremen wasn't exactly convincing- but for the defender slipping Essien wouldn't have been gifted the first goal and Drogba fell over in the box for the penalty. On another night Klose would have had a hat-trick at the other end of the pitch. If Chelsea lose both games against Barcelona and Werder Bremen beat Levski Sofia then Chelsea will be third going in to the final two games. In such a scenario it's likely that they are going to have to rely on Barcelona beating Bremen in the final game to qualify and Bremen have already proved to be a match for Barcelona in the home tie.
Alonso Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Anyone know who's been playing up front for Barce now with Eto'o being out?
Alonso Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 saviloa and gudjonsenThanks for that. Not quite the same potency as Eto'o but I bet Gudjohnsen is fired up for this one and will wanna bag a goal or 2!
Tosh Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Thanks for that. Not quite the same potency as Eto'o but I bet Gudjohnsen is fired up for this one and will wanna bag a goal or 2! you'd have thought that he'd be fired up in a CL semi final too...
Sion Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Shame I won't get to watch it really. I can see Chelsea getting a hammering
