Ginu Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Would you keep Cisse on after his loan to Marseille if he puts in 20+ goals in all competitions this season? I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Kuyt, Crouch and Fowler IMO all play between midfield and attack while our only goal poacher really is Bellamy. IMO depending on how Fowler performs this season, I think if Cisse returns to his Auxerre form we could really use him. Discuss.
JonShar Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 His "Auxerre" form never left him. The difference was he can't play in a system that requires a striker to receive the ball with his back to goal, and thus wasn't talented enough to play for us.
crisps Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 not intelligent enough for us, would be ok for a mid table prem club and probably would bang in 15/20 a season with the team based around him... could probably be more if he actualy aimed too!

ChrisC Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Even at Auxerre he missed far too many chances and reliedsolely on his pace which didnt work here, he's useless with his back to goal, has a shocking first touch and he's a lazy whiny fecker to boot, if he 'form' does return, then we should hike up the price and f*** him off quick!
lfc003 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 well he is a bigger goal threat, better talent and will always score more goals than his replacement Bellamy so yes, infact i wouldn't have sold him anyway to be honest. A Kuyt - Cisse partnership would have been dynamic in my opinion this season.
Benitez Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 nope. I hope he does well for Marseille, but I can't say I want him and his bouts of lazyness back here anytime soon.
McBain Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I didn't want us to sell him. But there's no way back. At all

Guest Cyador Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 No way at all. Not intelligent enough, not composed enough when finishing, and not the type of player that fits into rafas philosophy or style of play. BTW anyone know how Pongo's doing at the spanish club?
Spoone Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I think unfortunately we're already seeing that it's even hard for Bellamy to use his pace too much in our system and i have a worrying feeling that he could go the same way as Cisse did - as he gets more and more frustrated the chances will be fewer and fewer between and become harder and harder to convert, so we certinaly don''t need two players like that.
Billy Dane Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Rafa doesn't want him, and has never wanted him, so he will never come back regardless of how well/poorly Bellamy does.

Rafa absolutely loves hardworking players, so as long as bellamy keeps his current work rate up, he'll do very well.
Guz Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Are going to do the same with Morientes aswell? i.e. Ignore the fact that neither player cut the mustard at Liverpool but bring them back because they scored goals elsewhere? Rafa wanted him out last summer, let alone this - and you're suggesting we bring Djib back if he does well? Madness.
blago Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Even though he always said the right thing in interviews his attitude on the pitch was unprofessional. He also didn't use the ball intelligently enough, giving away possesion cheaply on a regular basis. His first touch was poor and his finishing was nowhere near as good as we were led to believe. In short no f*****g way would I like him back.
Guest Kev Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 We have the Welsh Cisse on our books, we don't need a French Bellamy as well
Billy Dane Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 No, you've got it wrong... when Bellamy moans it's cos he's a winner and him moaning helps spur the team on, when Cisse moaned it was cos he was a French fecker ruining team morale. Just can't compare the two.
Bootle Buck Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 NO! I enjoy watching the Reds without having to see someone shaking his head and running when he feels like. He was never a Liverpool type player. Better served at a club that will allow his antics in lieu of his golas..
Dominus Maximus Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Agger played as a striker in his YTS days. Let him play up front if we need more fire power..
hideNseek Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Should never have brought him in the first place.
Nate. Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 We have the Welsh Cisse on our books, we don't need a French Bellamy as well Do you ever say anything positive? Ever? You're worse than the media for digging at us.

Just can't compare the two. The difference is Cisse seems to moan at hit own team, while bellamy moans at the referee and the oposition
